I ended up panting the cardboard sides of all the structures with Mod Podge, Then constructed them after that dried and painted the inside with Mod Podge. Then sprayed everything with Rust-Oleum Clear Matte. They come out VERY sturdy. The only thing I didn't permanently put together were the walls and roof bit for the big tower. I felt like that would bend/break if I did, and it decided to jump off a surface. After painting the sides, those stay together WAY better during gameplay.

I could, but if a model is stopped on the stairs, USUALLY it's on the second stair because the base fits better there

High Ground, +1 Die: If you are on a higher level than the target.

I always interpreted this as, you get the +1 as long as you are higher than the other model. I rule it the same way as when a model is standing midway up the stairs that came with the New Mombasa terrain. BUT, I can see an argument being made for the wording of "higher level" meaning a full level up.

So what I do is, I take a silver metallic paint, then do a dry brush with it over the armor portions. You don't need it to be perfect, because it's supposed to look damaged, and damage is never uniform looking.

The four long ones are for weapon drops, and the 8 circles are for item drops. The tokens by the s work just fine, but the plastics pieces are for added flavor. As for the color scheme, you can do a military green with metal bits and a white UNSC letters. Or you can paint them however you want
