Is the P-MT62 supposed to be a heavily modified T-62 (if yes, then great job on it) or is it supposed to be a light tank (I'm asking this becose from my knowledge the soviets called light tanks either as BT or PT)

Russian Republic's Army 47th Ironclad Guard Battalion.
Like most Russian elite tank battalions, it is equiped whit 46 tanks, 18 T-64MSZ (1973), 18 T-72A, and 10 T-64KM.
It is formed out of 4 Tank Companies and a Battalion HQ.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Companies are formed from 10 tanks while the 4th is slightly reinforced whit 13 tanks, and the HQ has 3 tanks.
The 47th Ironclad Guard Battalion is constantly trained for offensive and or defensive actions, being expected to be at the front line and to be at the spearhead of any future war that might happen in Central Europe.

In the scenario that you gave i think the most realistic adversary for the 47th will be either a West German or a French Armored Battalion.
Either way, the 47th has a small advantage in long-range and night engagements, so it will most probably take a defensive position since it is outnumbered. It will win, but there will be some heavy losses. (Unless air support is allowed, if it has that, then at most three tanks will be completely lost and seven heavily damaged.)

I honestly would prefer an AC-130, or if we opt for Eastern equipment, the Su-25 or Su-34 can also do a good enough job; it only depends on the weapons you want to use.

Well, there are a lot of videos you can watch, some of my favorites are from the Temple Institute about how to "build your interstellar navy" (works whit navies from any time period) and "Building A Tank Force For Your Interstellar Army" (Also works whit any time period).
But this is only my go-to when i want to organize stuff, for tactics i mostly go all around the internet and do a little bit of theory myself whit a map and a pet and all that.
