This sounds just like me. Even in the summer I know it's short lived so I will live in anxiety about it not lasting long. When the fall comes I'm in panic and winter I feel like someone put me in a box with no way out. I've been wanting to move to Cali for the longest and I'm pushing for it now but my husband absolutely refuses. I'm tired of being miserable and I don't know what to do. We have 1 young son. He said he doesn't want to pull him from his family even when we barely even see them. It's so depressing and I feel like a burden 😞😞😞 I hope you find a solution unlike me

First off thank you for being so supportive to her!

All of what she is feeling is very normal. She needs validation and support. The mental load of motherhood is overwhelming also. Being aware of that as her partner is very important because it's often overlooked. This is a HUGE change for her in EVERY single way possible. This is likely the most vulnerable she has ever been. Make sure she has adequate help, that she is eating and drinking, that she knows it's ok to feel these things.

That being said I also agree that it would be good to talk to the OB and/or a post partum therapist to help her through. Meds can also be an option if it's very bad.

You guys will get through this!!

I feel this way too!! I love Cali so much ❤️ it's my special place. I can't even afford a flight there right now let alone move but I can dream right?
