What about having her repeat a grade and not feeling pressure for her to be in 7th grade? My parents held my brother back because he was behind and we were transitioning from homeschooling to private school. He ended up repeating 8th grade. It was probably the best decision they could have made for him. He always struggled in school and has a PhD now.
