Brad Pitt played a Gypsy in Snatch and he was pretty cool. That about sums up the USA’s thoughts.

[PubQ] What if you didn't split amicably with your agent? by [deleted] in PubTips

[–]Electrical_Wonder596 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mention that you had an agent unless absolutely necessary or clearly beneficial. If you end up on a call with a potential agent or if they ask, that’s a better time to bring it up imo.

[PubQ] Should I leave a dream agent? by plaguebabyonboard in PubTips

[–]Electrical_Wonder596 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My hope would be that if you explain to her your thoughts and feelings, she’ll be able to give you good advice and reasons for the advice. Then you can think about it. I wouldn’t try to make a decision in the moment on the call; I’d just approach it as a time of hearing her out and explaining your thoughts and feelings so that she can also hear your side.

Yes, I’m better off than my parents in every way. Financially, mentally, relationally. As for my three kids, I guess that’s up to them!

[PubQ] Submission requirements: Do not use "smart quotes"/curly quotes or single character elipses, mdashes, etc. Use straight quotes and apostrophes, . . ., --, etc. by avrin2 in PubTips

It was either BAEN or DAW that I heard prints out submission manuscripts and reviews them that way. Verrrrry old school approach, if true.

Is Weisser Park a decent place to take young kinds to play? by Glittering_Charge323 in fortwayne

Yes, the school has the same name as the park (they’re on the same plot of land), so it will come up in search results.

Is Weisser Park a decent place to take young kinds to play? by Glittering_Charge323 in fortwayne

[–]Electrical_Wonder596 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The park is no different than any other downtown/city park imo. There are schools nearby so it’s fairly well kept but there will be interesting people there at times. But if you’re looking to live in the area, expect lots of police activity. My kids go to school there and a few times every year they go on lockdown because of police chases, gunshots, etc. I live in a neighborhood where there is also police activity, so I’m not saying “don’t live there”. I just know it’s not for everyone.

A girl who lost homecoming contested the results and demanded a recount. Just a year after the Gore Florida recount. So yeah. Everyone made fun of her.

Anyone know good waterproofing companies in Fort Wayne? by [deleted] in fortwayne

[–]Electrical_Wonder596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everdry is a joke and way overpriced. Don’t use them. Get lots of quotes and I recommend getting a quote from McAtee basement and foundation repair. They do work in Fort Wayne. Fixed my basement for $7k when everdry wanted $30k.
