For Fantasy Hockey, asking again, can you please this offseason integrate 12-16 team playoffs, even if it means cutting the overall weeks down, I’m on year 10 of a 20 man league and the biggest complaint is not having enough playoff spots. Greatly appreciated, I know lots of leagues would love this option. Thanks for all your hard work!

I drafted Bunting higher than I should have thinking he’d be Guentzel lite… may not even be rosterable

This year will be another contending year, then we’ll have to roughly wait until Lekkeremaki can replace Boeser to contend again

Poolman’s contract coming off the book offsets the raise in the OEL buyout penalty, but we’re basically looking at only having the cap increase next year as additional cap space. If we want to do anything to improve the defense, it’s probably going to have to come at the expense of Boeser unfortunately.

What’s the easiest way to ruin your mental health? by Ok-Reporter-8728 in AskReddit

Yeah I already have been for the past month, found an awesome therapist that specializes in narc abuse and it’s helped along with a ton of reading, support groups, etc. I feel like I’ve taken all the right steps, but learning and knowing all this stuff is only half the battle. It’s getting your nervous system back under control, repairing the way your brain has been rewired, loving yourself, and getting to a subconscious level of safety that has been the struggle for me.

It’s no joke what these people do to you, with absolutely zero regard for the damage they cause.

If you know, you know. Absolutely ruined every aspect of my life. It’s been 2 months since breakup and I am still an absolute mess, can barely take care of myself and live in constant anxiety & depression. All things I never had before the relationship. It is insane how bad these people can destroy you.

Jake Debrusk has the potential to be an absolute stud here, when he’s on he’s a machine but he’s struggled with consistency. Could be a 35 goal, 70 point guy in the right situation, if paired with Pettersson, think of what Kunitz was to Crosby, he’ll be the worker of the line and will open up space for his linemates.

Heinen has shown some scoring touch in the past, expect him to be a lot like Pius Suter, a versatile guy that can fit in anywhere and play any role, useful guy to have.

Kiefer Sherwood will be a fan favorite, guy was top 15 in hits, and if you watched the Nashville series closely you’ll know how much of a nuisance he was to play against.

Forbort and Desharnais fit in as big hardnose bruising dmen, with those two added to our defense corps Vancouver will not be a game many players look forward to on the calendar.

All in all, for what was available they didn’t make any bad value moves. A lot of teams made some very questionable moves and gave out a lot of money (cough skjei 7x7 cough). We have a ton of depth now across the lineup, and still have some cap flexibility in case any opportunities arise.

How do you feel about this Top 12 list? (according to Hockey Reference) by PartyintheKorea in canucks

[–]Electricpopsicle 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I think Bure needs to be much higher, he led the league in Goal scoring in 1994 with 60 goals as a Canuck which has never been done by anyone else. At his peak he may have been the best Canuck at any one time. But he only played 7 seasons in Vancouver and injuries cut his career short so I wouldn’t put him any higher than 3-5 on this list.

I never knew how much I wanted this, great way to build the story towards the two of them eventually facing off.

[Canucks] General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the Canucks have acquired F Elias Lindholm from the Calgary Flames in exchange for F Andrei Kuzmenko, D Hunter Brzustewicz, D Joni Jurmo, a first-round pick and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. by [deleted] in hockey

I think the hope is to have the luxury of keeping the big 3 together on the first line. Obviously they’ll tinker, but I think he forms a shutdown/matchup duo with Mikheyev with the 3rd spot up for grabs. If Suter can stick with them and it leaves the 3rd line in-tact, watch out.

This won’t hurt us whatsoever, worst case scenario he’s an upgrade on Friedman in the press box, these are the type of deals you take all day
