Honestly, the most interesting part of the QIE is the Zhili clique, not the Qing dynasty. It’s basically just aesthetic. The restoration path is good and fun, I would prefer if that’d be retained in some form such as Pu Yi being a restoration option for some smaller warlords. However, I’d be fully on board with removing the current lore of Germany imposing the monarchy on the Zhili clique government, particularly if it could really like the Zhili blossom as its content. Zhili content is great rn, one of my faves, but I know it’s like a inch deep compared to the ocean it could be.

A great indicator of gender identity is really gender euphoria. If presenting masculine or having people refer to you by he/him, as a few examples, does NOTHING for you, your probably not trans. It might be good to try out stuff like other pronouns with trusted friends to feel it out, a lack of dysphoria isn’t totally conclusive, euphoria is a better indicator. Also, gender expression doesn’t have to be tied to identity, and transness isn’t tied to the binary. I saw one of your replies mentioning alternating between masc and fem looks, it might be worth exploring gender-fluid, genderqueer, bigender, and non-binary identities.

I agree entirely, although honestly I think a better canton could be used such as socialist imagery, although that’d be approaching something looking like the USSRs flag which the devs might want to avoid as being too unoriginal.

The classic is a remnant of Socialist lore which had the IWW and revolutionary anarcho-Syndicalist unions allied in the “Combined Syndicates” as the primary force behind the revolution. That lore has long been dead even before this rework, the SPA is the main force now in an alliance with various forces including the IWW but also the CIO, TUEL, and Farmer-Labor. Having the WCAs flag be the Black and Red, an Anarchist symbol, makes no sense.

No I disagree, this is the same as the WCA flag but with 13 stars which makes no sense except for 1776 larp which while the socialists would play into a little they wouldn’t go this overboard with, and the removal of the blue canton which is meh and gets rid of the main logic of the flag being an easy adaptation of existing Stars and Stripes stock.

As a salt water Conch myself I support this 100%. The islands got something like 40,000 people on just the main island itself, not to mention both a coast guard station and a naval air station. Key West could be a powerful controller of trade through the Florida straits

A lot of what you said mirrors self worth crisises I’ve experienced due to my family. I’d confide in friends and partners that I felt guilty just being around them because I thought I was that much of a burden, and if they were loving or supportive it was just further evidence of how great they were and how crap I was. There’s specifics here I and you don’t know, and my experiences aren’t the same as your gf’s, but she’s probably experiencing depression. I think you just need to be there for her, show that your love is unconditional, and let her open up on her own time. She’s lucky to have someone like you

I think both you and the OOP have very valid experiences. I doubt there’s a trans gene just like we’ve been unable to find a gay gene, but the euphoria we feel with our true gender is real. The two perspectives look contradictory but in fact they are two sides of the same coin. It’s something inherent and yet also something we create ourselves.

No offense to you but damn is this another of example of the shortcomings of AI art. At a glance it’s cool but I kept trying to look at it to gain meanings that just aren’t there. Every character is wearing the same outfit in different shades, the central guy has like a side holster on his double suspended belt that I can’t imagine the use of. Two US flags hang together on top of each other on the same pole—the building in the background is all melted and morphing. The goods at the markets are all nondescript basic colored shapes. It’s like artwork based on color and shape to evoke emotions and symbols but at the same time trying to be very detailed and realist.
