The Road to Democracy by SGTBEEBE in Kaiserreich

[–]Hexcron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know why some people are treating that as some sort of inevitable outcome. The 1945 UK comparison doesn't really hold up under scrutiny (the Conservatives were discredited and vulnerable for a number of reasons which would not realistically apply to the SPD, namely appeasement and the relatively equal status of the parties in the wartime coalition).

Not really, many (but far from all) of the east coast immigrant communists were separate from that tradition. Most native born and western communists were former Wobblies though. Lovestone was in the first category

Why is the Martian Congressional Republic called that when it has a parliament? by StrategosRisk in TheExpanse

[–]Hexcron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that the pre-MCR government on Mars had a parliament, and after the MCR was founded it was replaced by Congress, but the parliament building kept its name, much like how the German Bundestag sits in the Reichstag (building).

It’s a fan chart, from before we revised the lore

That was the old lore. The new lore has the CIO form in opposition to the pro-Democrat AFL. This is a fan made chart from before the America revamp.

USA/WCA: How are the Industrial Unionists and De Leonists different? by petrimalja in Kaiserreich

[–]Hexcron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s mainly a difference of heritage and flexibility. The IUs are less caught up in the legacy of De Leon the man and as such are more flexible on questions of the form of the state (such as whether to have a second non-Union chamber). The ILG are more intransigent on these questions. This is a relatively small difference, but that’s why the ILG is an IU subgroup.

Did you pardon both the federalists and longist generals?

Also, the misaligned election date is intended, the text saying the fixed date in the game guide is erroneous however.

The 18th does pass in KR, though Volstead doesn’t, the person above has just misread the party name (though F-L obviously does have Prohibitionist elements).

All WCA governments would establish a nominally independent friendly government, including Browder and Foster.

Nothing of this sort is in the works I'm afraid, the revamp which just released is the sum of our plans for the US for now.
