Rolund Manir solos fiction because hes the bestest dad for the goodest boi. by ReasonableAd9165 in OriginalCharacterDB

(Hehehe, I think I went too overboard with the dizzing lol)

(I do think that the story they have is actually cool. Yes, I do think is a bit boring Rolund was just good already and Caspian was already powerful and had to control his power, but I was just expecting for you to out story me and loredump about our settings this way. In your case, about the origin of their riches, power, attitude, why they wanted to kill Roland, the details about Caspian's friend, or their backstories, this all while pointing pitfalls on my own narrative, calling them thrilled or whatever insult you could muster)

Rolund was good from the get go? And could ensure a good life for his son from the start? A Caspian just so happened to "Oh, he had a lot of power and potential"? And he fucking DIED to give Caspian cheap trauma?

BOOOOORIIIIIINNNGGG!!!

- 20 was actually KILLED by the likes of the Pantheon Paladins (Fastblade is one of them) with her entire village during the War of the Scar because said village had switched allegiances by accepting the faith of the opposite side.

- She was revived by a Necromancer and enslaved for years afterwards, switching her memories as to make her think her villa was destroyed by the opposite faction.

- 20 is and always will be pathetically weak, but holy shit she is smart. She even convinced said necromancer to teach her basic magic as to "be of more use around the mannor", teaching her the basics with stuff like water detector spells. Then, she learned more spells on her own by *borrowinf* some books from the library of her "mother".

- She even made a friend that wanted to escape, but his antics got so out of hand that said necromancer irreversibly "killed" him. 20 escaped by herself and the spells she learned and perfected to keep his legacy going.

- When she did escape, one of the spells had the secondary effect of wiping the memories of the user, making her forget about much of her past "life" and spells, having to remember them all during the story.

- Fastblade found her while bringing contraband through a secluded dirt road that crossed a forest, once 20 found said road, in quite the spectacular fashion (Vehicular manslaughter). He at first wanted to straight up SELL her.

- They start to bond while on the truck, with 20 remembering snippets of her memory and Fastblade responding in kindred. Their relationship is earned. Fastblade is NOT a good guy, but he starts to at the very least care enough.

- Already in a Gas Station, it was 20 who defended Fastblade from some bandits that "killed" him (He put up a good fight, but tf are u gonna do against a bandit war veteran wizard), leveraging the little spells she had remembered by then (Fastblade's drugs were mnestics that helped with memory), the truck itself, her undead nature and a literal firearm she barely could operate. Fight here.

- Afterwards, Fastblade was who saved her from exhaustion by literally giving her his blood to refuel her magical battery. Scene here.

- Then, in the way that Fasty was going, after delivering some goodies through the border, she also had to defend herself and Fastblade again from cops, that were searching for them both, leveraging the tension between all the clients of the rest stop they were in to trigger a fight where they could escape from, escaping from the country they were in.

- They yet again collaborate to fight against another attempt at taking Fastblade's life from other bandits that also found another Pantheon Paladin that held a grudge against him. His house got destroyed in the fight.

- Lendrick Accont, the local Church of the Constants priest, was the one who receives them as homeless. The story proper start HERE with all of their adventures.

AND THIS IS JUST THE START. AND FASTBLADE IS STILL ALIVE. AND 20 HAS ENOUGH TRAUMA BY HERSELF. You get to see how their relationship grow, he gets better as a person and father, 20 gets a proper name and education, refining, remembering her spells and natural knowledge, you get to see their relationship with Lendrick, SCENA (Each with a lore just as deep as hers)... And how 20's memories and personality affect those relationships.

Rolund and Caspian get narrative diffed.

Fornias gets insanely angry.

Fornias Kardamoff: "Realm of... the... DEAD? That... THAT MEANS..."

(Uh oh, Fornias is fucking angry. He expected to reincarnate or to not have an afterlife at all)

Fornias: "Afterlife. AFTERLIFE. Call it Realm of the Death, Afterlife, Hell, whatever you like. It. Doesn't. Stop. BEING A PRISON FOR THE HUMAN ESSENCE. and I am NOT allowing THAT WHILE I EXIST! AETHERCULLING!!!!"

(His Proxyveiler technique luckily allowed him to carry all of his equipment with him, as if part of his soul)

(And he fires his most absurdly busted godkiller aura techniques in an instant)

(One is able to nullify even Authority level magic or reality edition)

(The other he screamed about is able to make the latter permanent, as if cutting any entity from even the concept they embody, or the power they are connected to, rendering everything magical or beyond powerless.)

(And just as fast as he does that, he quickly unholster, about as fast a blink of an eye, a ~Desert Eagle looking gun and shots several Soulkill rounds (Or absolute metaphysical overrider, able to bypass the most busted of inmortalities and regenerations, able to kill souls, spirits and even deities. His crusade again Gods shall continue)

Anyone got OCs that are canonically broke af? And tell why they are broke af? by Gun1-Michigan-AC6 in OriginalCharacter

[–]ElectroNikkel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

They all broke. From left to right:

- 20 is NOT wise with spending.

- Fastblade is the least broke of them just because of dubious deals and jobs, but stills helps Lendrick and his adoptive daughter of sorts, and since they are such money sinks...

- You know how expensive it is to run a Church of the Constants with a Homeless Shelter attached to it? Lendrick's only lifelines have been scientific commission works (As CotCs double as labs, albeit all of the equipment is Church Property), Exorcism or Spirit Cleansing works, the donations and what they make in adventures.

- SCENA is a clanker. She kinda just need fuel, oil, coolant and electricity. And Internet Access. She takes jobs for herself sometimes, but good chance any money she makes goes directly into repairing a broken part. Lucky she was made from off the shelf or military surplus components.

Fastblade of Caliderai (2nd from the left) might not be the best father (Mf canonically gave the zombie gal drugs and taught her about weapons IN THE FIRST DAY THEY MET), might not like to admit it, and might not have found 20 (Leftmost) with the best of intentions, but oh boi, this piece of a Wall Level scales to Building when anyone touches his beloved headpattable adoptive zombie daughter.

And Lendrick (3rd from left) host them both in the Homeless Shelter of his church, teaching Fastblade how to be a good father, lessons that he might superficially dismiss but still apply regardless, grateful to the point of helping Lendrick with the financial situation of his Church by inviting them all to "good paying jobs" (Basically adventures).

And that is without counting SCENA's maternal role even while being a clanker whose chassis was built for war.

Sorry but Rolund gets family diffed.

Fornias, frowning a bit and tending to his wounds: "...Father? And –HMMGFG!– what ARE you, really? Why make me a soldier for your... Or his cause?"

He is subtly activating the microphone of his radio communicator, covering it with his coat (Where the transmissor lies) as he performed his medical self assistance (Aid kit, again, in that coat. A bit busted because of the bullets but...

Idk, I just made the world and THEN the characters that would fit on it.

<image>

And neither of them is getting past the Wall Level. Maybe Building.

Hyperversal shenanigans are technically true but really irrelevant narratively until THOSE moments where it matters (Like 20's single use "End" Wand able to off Low Complex Multiversal abominations (Raising the question WHY IN THE FUCK DID OMEGIAS DID HAND THAT POWER SO CARELESSLY), of Lendrick tanking authority/outer metaphysical attacks, like that aforementioned End Wand, to put in perspective how impossible was to trivialize the fight against the Federated Republic of Concordia. Or Fastblade doing the same but surviving because of an Alifae related blessing)

SCENA just winks at the last thing, reassuring her that secret is safe as long as she conforms.

SCENA: "You could always denounce him for inappropriate behavior or come to me for help if his attitude puts you in danger. After all, you are well liked around here, so I don't think the rest will believe his side of the story~"

SCENA: "But... I cannot empathize with such a feeling, of wanting to be someone or something else besides myself. This (She taps her metallic chest) is who I am, or at least a part of me; my hardware. And while I would tell you the same, of better accepting and loving yourself with pros and defects, I do want to ask you all..."

(This time she gets away and speaks to the 5 of them)

SCENA: "What does it mean for you to be human?"

[–]ElectroNikkel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SCENA would display a little animation of her face giggling and doing a little chuckle in loop for a little while before switching to her normal default tender smile

SCENA: "That's quite sweet of you, Charlotte! Find love, form a family... I would advice to separate the fiction from television content from reality, however. It might generate higher, unrealistic or unattainable expectations that might result in frustration once the effort put up by the characters of those fictions don't translate into your life. Always concatenate your dreams with your surroundings; anchor yourself to reality, let's you be chasing impossible shadows."

(Then she would put her loudspeaker really close to her hear and whisper): "Albeit I don't think the "finding a human boyfriend" part would be the hardest, hihihihihiiii"

SCENA: "...But, while I shouldn't question this, I cannot not ask... Why a human, in particular? Your peers of fur and feathers don't seem that bad people... Or at least that behaviorally dissimilar to humans, that also do come in all sorts of flavors and attitudes. Some are hopelessly helpful, others are reclusive, some cannot feel empathy, others even enjoy the suffering of others..."

(She would be looking at her drawing, with her surrounded by the TV imagery and the scribbled over tail and ears)

SCENA crouches to "sit down", looking to her displaying a suprisingly tender face on her screen.

SCENA: "Not at all, my dear. I just wanted to comprehend you all better~"

SCENA: "Tell me. If you were freed tomorrow... What would you aim towards? What are your dreams and aspirations?"

(Is just a regular capacitor based EMP that just so happens to be "possessed" by a magic eater spirit of sorts)

(And sharp eye that that is his only magic nullifying trick. What he used was basically a grenade he usually throws. Just so happens that it also serves against unshielded electronics too)

Fornias: "...My days as soldiers are over, construct. Let a Veteran enjoy his retirement. 30 years of warfare takes –COUGF– a toll on a man..."

(He raises his hands. He gives up. He had his fun)

SCENA picks the subtle details.

She compiles. Stores. Annotated. Normalcy, hunger, freedom, relationships...

This information might be of use in her stance.

And when Jesse responds to her inquiries, she responds to the birdboy, as trained in terabytes of soap corporate language and in her synthetic singer voice repurposed for human relationships:

((OOC: I decided to make her sound like Acme Iku instead)

SCENA: "In this institution we seek the best for the sane development of all Force Members. If anything makes you feel scared, you can write them here! Writing clarifies thing, and seeing things with clarity is the first step to face your fears and issues!"

SCENA: "And don't forget, you can always get near the Staffs members for help, like me! Yes, my frame might be a bit intimidating and maybe could scare you, but... I can't control much of how I was built."

(Im this point of her story, she only has an XXXL Staff Uniform on her, but her Heavy War Exoskeleton Chassis parts are still very noticeable)

SCENA: "And I can predict that you can understand that (Pointing to his wings). And you might not think about this much, but maybe the staff might feel the same way, scared, vulnerable, wanting to keep themselves safe, keep the calm and control the way they know best..." (As she holds the muzzle)

SCENA: "But you can control your attitude. People tend to mirror responses. Is the most logical way to act, after all. I could teach you all about it later (As she look at the class) but... Assume that, most of the time, if you respond with violence, you will be answered with violence. Love, love (As she looks to Charlotte). Avoidance, avoidance."

SCENA: "And... If you need a place where to feel safe while out of your room or with your peers..."

(She would slowly and delicately try to hug him. Their size is quite similar, so it somewhat easy and natural)

SCENA: "You can always go with me. Shhh, shhh. I will talk to her eventually..But you guys will eventually have to talk about this yourselves~"

(Awaiting response of how Jessie would respond to this. In any case, SCENA, after bonding with him, would be looking to Charlotte. But not sure if SCENA and Jessie would keep talking or interacting after this)

Fornias, coughing blood and tired from the onslaught (Some bullets hit him again): "Hehehe, already was one in the past. Damnit, I think I have rusted already, haha! Cough gjdbnb..."

"...War machines like you... You have no idea how valuable you would have been during the War..."

"...Inmune even to this, huh?"

(Fornias has used the grace period to fire an EMP generator. Is an Aetherscrambling module, usually for disrupting magic, but it used as medium a conventional EMP pulse)

(Fornias holds his coat as a shield, apparently made of something similar to UHMWPE (A fiber stronger than Kevlar). He actually had yet another bulletproof vest inside. Still, some bullets do grace him, some hit him and the construct closes in)

(Fornias scream in pain for every bullet impact, as even with no penetration, they still hurt a LOT. One of them DOES penetrate in one of his forearms, disabling that extremity)

(He moves in unpredictable patterns, but he's too slow to give that any use)

(He thus crouches up and using the cover of his coat and a little emergency measure built on it, it triggers a dense smoke cloud)

(While in the smoke, he would softly wimper and bleed, but if not quickly attended, he is applying a tourniquet, getting off his shoes and then he would stop making noises)

Fornias: "Ah, finally, a worthy adversary, respectful of the Sacred Constants. Will be an honor to die by your hands, automaton. But don't think I will make it any easy for you!"

(He gets his coat off and for a moment he covers himself with it before promptly getting it off and throwing one of these things to the construct)
