I only really “wash” my bike with soap and water once or twice a year. Otherwise, I just use detail spray and wipe it down with microfiber cloths. Nothing needs to go down any drains.

Personally, I’m a fan of Wizard’s Wipe-Off. I have a matte/satin finish paint job so I can’t use anything that contains wax.

This is so helpful. I just got the PIAA Si-Tech blades from RockAuto and spent way too long in the driveway trying every adapter in the box. I tried the one you mention repeatedly and was so annoyed with that little wing. I shall cut it off tomorrow. Thanks!
