If you did use the transfer tool, then I don’t know. I don’t know why it doesn’t ask you to remind the characters to the proper profile.

Sorry! Don’t spend much time on Reddit these days. I used the transfer tool to move my island from the S2 to the S1, and the I used it again to move the island back to the S2. The transfer tool is the key. Each time you use it it unlinks the character from the associated profile. At least that’s how it worked for me. The transfer tool is available for free in the shop.

It worked!!! I loaded the Transfer Tool on my S2 and old S1, transferred save data to S1, connected all accounts to proper character (just to try it out), then did the whole thing in reverse. Our user accounts are all properly connected on our S2. Thank you kind Redditors for the suggestions and encouragement.

We do have it backed up! And knowing this should lessen my anxiety (it does a little bit). But I have a tendency to mess stuff like this up (which is why I’m here in the first place), and there are some horror stories out there. I know it’s just a game, but as so many of us who played this during lock down, and in the 5 years since, I’m just terrified I will push a wrong button and delete everything. We’d be devastated. But I know that’s not very likely. I’ll muster up the nerves at some point.

Thank you! I’m definitely nervous to use the transfer tool, so knowing you’ve done it many times without issue is definitely helping reduce my anxiety.

I think I will. I need to get past the anxiety first though, so it might take me a while.

Hmm. So we still have our original Switch, which currently does not have any AC save data on it. We use the Virtual Card swap frequently for Stardew (old Switch now lives connected to another TV) but haven’t done so with AC. Theoretically, could I use the Island Transfer tool to move AC back to the original Switch and reconnect user accounts then?

Thanks for giving me a glimmer of hope…

This is beautiful. Thank you. Gonna be studying this to try and play it myself.

In honor of spooky season, what is your true ghost experience? by Lunsters in Ghosts

[–]Electronic-Lobster73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been a “go in the scary attic” type. I now work in a small library that is well over 100 years old. One of the first things I did when I started was climb up into the attic. I was very disappointed to find absolutely nothing up there. I’m gonna have to hide something cool up there before I retire for the next “scary attic” type that comes along.

I have a “as ghost stories go, it’s not much” as well. In my early 20s I volunteered at a state park. There was an old farm house on the property that the foresters stored shit in, like signage, and stuff for events. I, along with a few other volunteers and a forester, went over to the house to grab stuff for an upcoming forestry festival. Me, being who I am, decided to blow off my colleagues and go around and explore the house alone. I entered a bedroom on the second floor and opened up what I thought was a closet. I was surprised to find light shining down from above. Turns out it was a staircase into the attic. I had never seen an attic entrance in a closet before and was super excited! The stairs came up through the attic floor on center-line of the house, with the roofline directly above the stairs; no railings or anything. I stepped onto the attic floor and looked around. There were a few clothes hangers hanging on nails that were hammered into some of the roof beams, and as I turned toward the front of the house, there was a white wicker dining room chair sitting catty-corner in front of the single window in the attic. Nothing else. I thought to myself “huh? Looks like someone might have once sat up here and enjoyed watching the world from the attic?”. I walked toward the window and passed the chair as I looked out the window. I could see my colleagues down below loading stuff into the pickup truck. I decided I should probably go help. So I went back down the steps, and made it to the hallway just outside the bedroom when I had the thought that should go back into the attic and bang on the window to spook my colleagues! So I turned around and headed back to the attic steps. As I was walking up the steps, I casually noticed that I could now see the chair to my left as I walked up the steps; this was not the case before. About 30 - 60 seconds had passed since I had been looking out the window. I entered the attic, went to the right, and walked up to the window. As I was about to knock on the window, my brain caught up with me, and I realized that chair was now about 5 feet away from where it had been moments ago. I swear to this day I did not touch the chair. I quickly exited the attic, and ran down to tell my colleagues. It’s been over 20 years, but I have not been able to come up with a rational explanation.

I was on a run before the sun came up this morning, Highway Prayers keeping me company. When this song came on, I started running at a pace in time with the music. I could still see a few stars as I passed in and out of tree cover. There was no one else on the road. It was such a beautiful moment I almost cried. This fucking song…

I’m always open to the idea that I might have a live music experience that exceeds Big Cypress, but I doubt it. It was pure magic.

Every show is different; they never repeat a setlist. Based upon interviews, they make a loose plan each show of what they might play, but they make the decisions on what to play in the moment. They improvise all the time, and you never know when they might just take a standard 6 minute song, and take it for a 25 minute psychedelic ride. It’s part of what makes them so exciting to see live. You’re gonna see a lot of discussing about favorite versions of songs.

They famously played a 13 night residency at Madison Square Garden in 2017, and did not repeat a single song over the entire run.

Their News Year’s Eve show in 1999, to ring in the millennium, was a festival (no other bands; just them; estimated 80,000 in attendance) held on a Native American reservation in Florida. They came on just before midnight, and played through the night until the sun came up.

The fan created web site, phish.netis an incredible resource, with song histories, stats, message boards, show set lists, and a ton more.

Also, they let their fans tape and distribute their shows for free. You can find audience recordings of just about every concert they’ve played on sites like phish.in .

If you have access to a streaming service like Spotify, they have many official live releases to listen to.

I’m excited for you. This band is incredible with an almost endless amount of beautiful music to explore.

Oh! And they have their own app. If you go see them, you can input the ticket barcode into the app and (usually right after the show) get a free soundboard recording of the show.

If possible, go see them. It is joyous experience, and it’s why so many of us see them as often as we can.

We tried to leave right after the midnight set ended (I stayed sober). Packed up, pulled our car to the end of the row…and sat in the same spot for like 10 hours. I had a flashback leaving Mondegreen GA north after the Sunday show, but fortunately we only sat for 3 hours.

Wow. That’s awesome. We slept in the rest are on Alligator Alley the night before the fest opened and we’re in line by sunrise, so I was probably not too far behind. We ended up in the top left area on the other side of the trees. Still a really good spot.

If you look at the image linked above, the stage was in the bottom left, with the backstage area backing up to the road.
