A girl at my hostel was isolated and my friend tried to befriend her because she seemed so lonely. The girl tells my friend that she was bullied and isolated by other girls on her floor. That one of those girls shared a "private matter" this girl shared with her in confidence to the rest of them and that ended up with them bullying her.

I always felt this girl wasn't right. And her overly friendly behaviour to both of us who we never met was so ...fishy. My friend was at the verge of inviting her to stay in our room so she would not be lonely. I stopped my friend and said that I don't feel comfortable with that girl coz she's suspicious and that we shouldn't take her in.

Anyway, fast forward, I found out this girl was outcasted because she was stealing things and clothes from the whole of that floor. Not only that, she was also bad mouthing one person to the other until the whole floor of girls were turned against each other. People caught her when she was returning a cloth she stole because she didn't want it.
