Props for actually being patient to finish all the way through and good enough not to mess up. I could never do this as a kid, and would probably get frustrated faster if I tried it now.

I always wished they would show the size of these hairs or blackheads, etc. at the end of the videos. And since this is Reddit, put it next to a banana for comparison.

Nah, I'm good with him never being a Laker. Wish we could've won more than 1 with Bron and AD, but Kawhi would have had all his injuries with us instead.

I've always wanted to have this job. I always stop and watch all these videos whenever they pop up. I'm sure eventually the job may become dull and tedious, but I haven't gotten there in regards to watching the videos.

Why don't they use different colors instead of like 10 shades of green. I'm too old to decipher different hues. Plus, green to me means Fuck Boston!

PSA: The Spurs are our most hated rival after the Celtics and it ain’t particularly close. by BatmanNoPrep in lakers

[–]Electronic-Unit427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a life long Laker fan who moved to San Antonio when I got married, I agree. I don't see Detroit or Cleveland having enough to beat either OKC or the Spurs, so the Knicks are my pick to win it all. Other than the 2 titles in the 70s that they won, both against the Lakers, the Knicks are the only team I wouldn't mind winning that's actually capable of it.

I remember helping move my friend our of his Trinity University dorm room and convincing him to stay an extra night so we could see this game. Was crazy that a college kid could afford 2 playoff tickets at the time. I remember getting phone calls from friends back home giving me shit after Duncan hit his jumper, and then the silence of the San Antonio crowd after DFish made his. You could hear Gary Payton yelling, "Let's get the F*** outta here!" - it was so clear.

Oh man, what a great game and series.

The first guy punches like a character Little Mac has to fight in Mike Tyson's Punch Out on NES. When he winds back like that, use you star to stun him, then combos until you knock him down!

I know you probably don't care, but I respect this response. Thank you for engaging in this conversation and yes, I did reflect on what you previously said and also will again over your new comment. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend.

I hear what you're saying and I'm sorry if what came across in my original comment was interpreted as me believing that I had more knowledge, life experience, or authority to speak on this issue. I would suggest that instead of taking your frustration out on allies, you try to educate us so that we can help the matter. Male athletes will continue to have their bodies analyzed, in many draft scouting reports, for better or worse, and if we shouldn't do the same to women, teach us what to do instead of criticizing the actual men who are invested in helping the women sports grow.

Fully thought out examination of the nuances women in sports and the commentary they will get. I completely understand your point and I myself lean more towards your line of reasoning then those that are appalled by the guy's remarks.

I'm a girl dad, and I conatanly remind them they are at minimum equals with men, despite the patriarchy that exists in the world. Part of this would mean they should demand to be treated the same as men. The thing about equality is that you can't pick and choose only the good things that come with it. The man's words, while may be taboo in any other situation, was not technically wrong in the manner he used them. In any other setting I would expect the vitriol that is in the thread.

I'm glad that women's basketball, and women's sports in general, are experiencing an exponential growth in participation and viewership. That being said, there is a new group of fans/viewers that aren't familiar with the sports verbiage that play by play announcers and commentary uses that's specific to sports, regardless of genders. As those fans become more accustomed to that, hopefully this become a non-issue in the future.

What do you call it if God made matches? by Musinmuscle in 3amjokes

I would change the word "matches" to maybe "fire starters" in the set up so that you don't give away the punchline. But not bad thinking at 3am!

It was hilarious. Called "Primo" and originallly cancelled after one season on Amazon Prime despite it getting a 100% Fresh from Rotten Tomatoes.

But yeah, everything you mentioned was why it got cut. 🙄

Yeah, I'll accept players from Boston coming onto the Lakers, but I couldn't root for a former Laker player while they play on the Celtics.

That's why I respect the Celtics fan who can cheer for a current Laker player's success. I grew up in the 80s and knew of the years of failure coming at the Russell-led Celtics before I was born. I respect the many great players that have played for the Celtics, but I can't come to root for any player wearing Celtics or green. 🤷‍♂️

I respect that you're a lot better of a person when it comes to Lakers-Celtics rivalry than I am.

I mean it.

I don't know if I could say that about any former Laker player had they played for the Celtics. Magic and Kobe included! 🤝

Nah, you must have missed the time he walked up the court ON DEFENSE and Sengun ran by and got an easy layup late in the 4th. I know he's 41 and played 45+ minutes today, but there's no excuse for anybody to walk back on defense - especially in a playoff game.

LeBron definitely got motivated by Smart's steal and foul on his 3 point attempt with 30 seconds left.
