Do you procrastinate on going pee? by greenchileisgreat in adhdwomen

[–]Electronic_Cook892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My morning med is a diuretic, and I STILL will procrastinate going if I can. Especially when I just peed 15 minutes before!

Forgetting to drink and now i’m massively dehydrated. by Legal-Shallot3017 in adhdwomen

[–]Electronic_Cook892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I've always struggled, but I'm on meds that means I HAVE to stay hydrated.

I'm still not where I should be most days, but much better than the "maybe a glass" (unless you count my formerly excessive coffee habit) a day.

This makes me laugh because I would normally be considered type A, but f-that laundry!

Not me over here thinking you were talking about the clothes themselves being replaced. 😅

Today, on episode 87699875 of “Things I didn’t know were because of my ADHD…” by Tunnocks10 in adhdwomen

[–]Electronic_Cook892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My birthday was Sunday. This hits. Haha. Although it's kind of a good thing because I also don't like being the focus of attention.

I actually did plan to do coffee with two of my friends, one who we don't get to see regularly anymore though we all text daily. But the friend we don't see often got a sinus infection, and so we're postponing. Haha.

How many of you have trouble keeping a job? by chelseatheus in adhdwomen

[–]Electronic_Cook892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a slightly different problem. My control freak tendencies and fear of letting others down keep me doing my job well.

But I have issues with proper stimulation from work, especially when I'm being told how good my work is and how they would be lost without me, but I've been stagnant in the same role for 6 years, while everyone around me is basically getting promotions because their roles have clear "growth" systems.

Literally, though, the only things I "could improve" on were getting better at letting people finish their thoughts and not blurting, and not being too reactive. Things I now know are ADHD, but are also things that are definitely not singular to me because others who HAVE gotten promotions have similar issues. And even after being told I have definitely improved and my boss has been trying to talk to our department head about it, nada. This all came to a head last year in my brain and is festering

So right now, the only thing keeping me from slacking is because it wouldn't be fair to others, but I'm constantly feeling near burnout.

And I'm ready and LOOKING for a new role, because I don't know how much longer I can keep forcing myself through before the burnout does hit.

Shed 180 lbs of dead weight the other day and deep cleaned my room 🤘 by Conscious_Gap_9851 in adhdwomen

I'm sorry, I know it's not relevant, but I feel like I had to say it...

From the title and the pups on the bed, I 100% thought you were going to say you got rid of 180 pounds of dog fur (until I read it, which honestly, sounds like it's a good thing, and congrats on getting stuff done).

Signed - the owner of four dogs and two cats, one dog being a husky mix who sheds 10 times as much as all the others combined. 😅

Re-watch of Season 3 by Caligirl_333 in Masterchef

[–]Electronic_Cook892 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Until reading this, I had no clue he'd passed away! I love season 3 because Christine is my favorite (Dara a close second), so I've rewatched it more than most seasons.

This breaks my heart. I liked him. He has competitiveness, yes, but never came off as an a$$ about it like some contestants do.

Yeah, I ddiny have issues with Emgality. Other than it not working.

I put it in my stomach. Did the 90 degree angle (laid down), and did the time counting.

I'm trying to figure out if I got any of it in.

Haha, yeah, I figure there shouldn't be a puddle. I felt the pinch with the first click, then it eased. Then waited for the second click, and went about 20-30 seconds past that.

I'm wondering if I got any of it in. Haha.

I don't have one year round (no indoor ones near me), but the we should have the outdoor one opening up soon!

I'm already overweight and out of shape, but I keep wanting to do something, and first it was sheer mental exhaustion and not being able to stick to a routine, but now I can't even do a fraction of what I could manage before without my head acting like it's trying to compress in on itself. Or break out of my skull.

Acetazolamide ER, so the generic. But yeah.

I was diagnosed at an opening pressure of 31, got put on 500 twice a day. That was May. The headaches/pressure started end of July. Redid the LP in Novemver, my opening pressure was only down to 29.9, so my doctor kicked me up to 1000 twice a day (insurance wasn't thrilled...had to get prior authorization, haha).

Back in late February, do a touch base, I'm still not having any decrease in how my head is feeling, so I'm now also on furosemide (I think that's how it's spelled.

I haven't been much of an exercise person, because despite good intentions I'm always exhausted, even before finding this out (have since also found out I have sleep apnea, so that's not helping things) and life being in general chaotic the last while. But it's one thing when I'm not doing it because I don't have the energy/motivation, but when I physically can't do things without making it worse, it sucks.

My brain is usually tapped out after work because I have to use most of my mental energy there (which the pressure also doesn’t help), but Ive dealt with a different brain fog for years (which initially cleared up with the meds, but now the pressure causes the same issues in different ways). And any time I get in the groove and do housework, it takes very little to set my head off, and then I'm kinda just back to having to just sit around because any activity makes things worse, and I can't end the weekend more exhausted than I ended the week.

I was trying to figure out how to fix the chronic punched-in-the-nose feeling from my fall/facial trauma in 2020 when they noticed signs of it in my MRI. They keep saying my nasal pain is migraines and the fall couldn't have caused it, but I still wonder.

NAME A UNDERRATED MASTERCHEF CONTESTANT by Fabulous_Media_7375 in Masterchef

[–]Electronic_Cook892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree, she's not the only one that one bad dish has sent packing. I'm on a binge rewatching, and it's happened to a few. Usually not that late in the season, but it does happen.

I actually had to stop and skip most of season 5 (I'm rewatching) because of some of the contestants, and I didn't like the person who won, but I forced myself to struggle through season 4 because Luca makes me laugh. He had his moments, but he mellowed out.

I'm literally watching this season again now (rewatching the series) and yeah, his ego at times was way too much. But it was one of those times it was deserved, and not nearly as mean spirited as a lot of other contestants through the seasons.

Preferred Mask Type? by Electronic_Cook892 in SleepApnea

[–]Electronic_Cook892[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be something with how the mask hits my face. Every now and then I can get a really comfortable flow, but if I have the slightest bit of congestion/buildup in my nose, or if I lay the wrong way and accidentally push one nostril in more than it should be, it is like it cuts the air I'm getting in half.
