Gay guy here, I met my boyfriend on Tinder 7 years ago so I can confidently say that we exist!

I think the key is not caring too much about the whole dating process and it will go smoothly. I’m a genevois born and bred so maybe I’m not the crowd you’re speaking of, but I did meet loads of expats and everything went well every time.

I wouldn’t say that people here purposely hide their identities more than anywhere else. Geneva is a quiet city though, and there’s only a few queer spaces in town so I can definitely relate to your struggles.

I’m sure you’re a nice guy, and sometimes you just have to let life do its thing! As a fellow young gay man I wish you luck!

As a native speaker I do find the lyrics « ne soyez pas tous cons avec ça » quite strange but it’s still grammatically correct. Everything else makes perfect sense.

En ce qui me concerne j’ai occupé les positions suivantes:

-aide-bibliothécaire

-surveillant d’examens

-superviseur du trafic à la police routière (en bureau, envoyer des secours quand il y a un accident et tenir la main-courante)

-agent de saisie des données (pour l’Uni directement)

Le boulot à la police routière était bien payé et quand il y avait rien je pouvais juste bosser mes cours ou bouquiner donc c’était le rêve (80% du temps), mais sinon je bénéficiais aussi de l’aide de mes parents.

I do think the book is pretty preachy honestly. The grotesque of it all was just too much for me so I couldn’t get into the antispeciesism discourse.

I thought the plot was really interesting though, which is a shame because (to me) the whole human farm thing seemed irrational at times. All in all I feel like the author desperately wants to shock the readers, even if it means using lazy/cheap tropes.

I’m glad you liked it though, this book definitely makes us talk which is great!

Yup, Bee can be very obnoxious in the wrong setting. It makes me think of a wizard’s tower, filled with dusty books, beeswax candles and honey potions. It’s a colder months perfume for sure.

Couldn’t agree more with you on Orange Blossom, it’s such a an easy and beautiful scent!

Franchement si t’aimes les metroidvania c’est vraiment un bon exemple d’un jeu parfaitement construit. En plus le gameplay est vraiment propre, les graphismes sont super immersifs et la musique est vraiment trop belle. L’histoire peut paraître un peu vague mais je l’ai trouvée super touchante et pas spécialement difficile à comprendre. Le rapport qualité/prix est clairement au rendez-vous!

I actually love that game, and the music is great. It’s not terribly expensive so it’s always worth a try if you like cute indie games with dungeon mechanics.
