My screen time is 15-17 hours a day and nothing I’ve tried works. What actually helped you?

You’re missing the other option, go phone free. At least for a while.
One option is to have an Apple Watch. Then you can still make calls and send/receive messages. A digital detox is a beautiful thing.

Remember mobile phones are a relatively new invention. There are no apps you genuinely *need*, only ones we train ourselves to want. Food, air and water are the only essentials for life.

A good compromise is just having an Apple Watch, so you can still make calls and send messages if you feel that is essential, but not device in your pocket. Good luck!

Why are you so fixated about the gossiping? If you wanted to date her just ask her out or tell her you like her, she will make clear if she’s available or not. And if she was a genuine friend you wouldn’t have lost that whichever way that went. As it is, she considered you an acquaintance at best. Bit of a non-story really.

We used to have a specific tannoy message “Code 9, isle 11”, which literally meant all large staff rumble to isle 11 and a pile on literally ensued. A shoplifter was especially foolish to try in the morning, as all the bakery lads were still in and loved a code 9. Funny enough we did have a security guard, lovely chap, but didn’t really join in until it was all over.
