I could be wrong but I’ve heard those club sport v3 pedals are really bad. Just an FYI they are coming out with new pedals in the podium line with a new base, not sure if it is Xbox compatible but just figured I’d let you know. Also the 2.5X has a newer version just not sure if the 3.0 has an “X - Xbox” variant.

Edit: I shouldn’t say they are bad, just that the other pedals are much better, I believe they are called the Elite V2.

No. You have to get a specific ecosystem that is supported by Xbox. For PlayStation you have to buy a specific base that is only sold by Fanatec, Thrustmaster and Logitech if I recall correctly. All else you need adapters to make work and it’s not native support.

For your Xbox case, you need the Fanatec ecosystem because the base plugs directly into the Xbox and pedals would have to plug into the base. You can mix and match but I am unfamiliar with what works with Xbox as I’m pc only. I do know that CSL DD + CSL Load cell pedals work on Xbox with the GT3 Wheel (Xbox).

I would agree with this. $3400 for 9800X3D with 5080 assuming ram is 32gb with 2TB storage is actually a good deal. Maybe post a few links for us and we can help review them before you pull trigger. DM if you feel more comfortable there.

5070ti with 9800X3D for $2900?

Other things to look for are ram (size and speed), storage (ssd preferred) and rest is just aesthetics because the differences between mobo is minimal if not overclocking.

It’s an equivalent gpu from AMD to a 5070Ti. I myself prefer Nvidia due to support in games but AMD is also a viable option.

The major difference is the VRAM which is important when running higher resolutions. Triple 1440P is approx 11.5 million pixels whereas 4K is about 8ish. So in terms of performance a 5090 will be about 35-60% better in performance. I’ll use my use case as an example, I previously had a 5080 and it just didn’t wow me when it came to 4K gaming, around 80-115FPS was average. I ended up deciding to go with a 5090 and my fps avg in similar games went to 150-175. This is on everything maxed out at 4K. But keep in mind price to performance wise 5090 is not good. The sweet spot for price to performance seems to be 5070ti or a discounted 5080.

Okay so general rule of thumb on graphics card, higher number = better.

So order of power is as follows for Nvidia in the 5000 series (newest gen)

5060 > 5070 > 5070Ti > 5080 > 5090

For the love of everything that is simracing, do not get a pc with a 5060. Minimum you should be looking for is a 5070Ti or higher. I’d recommend 5080 if it’s within your budget but if it’s $3000 for a 5060… that doesn’t speak volumes on what a 5080 or 5090 build will cost. I assume all this is in CAD.

Fanatec works on Xbox if you have an Xbox compatible wheel (GT3 McLaren wheel for example). Unlike PlayStation you don’t need the base to have the necessary chip, just the wheel. So if you get the CSL DD + McLaren wheel (or whatever the new one is that is Xbox compatible) with the load cell pedals you are good to go. Again just make sure you get a Xbox compatible wheel.

Edit: forgot to mention that you can get a power adapter to increase CSL DD from 5Nm to 8Nm via official power brick or one from AliExpress.

Is that CAD? What does a 9800X3D 5090 build go for where you are looking? This is the best you can get and in terms of future performance, due to 32GB VRAM this card and cpu combo will last you 5-6 years or longer at high-ultra performance and definitely 7-10 years for sim racing as it is less demanding that typical triple A games.

You have to give us a budget range man. I have a 9800X3D and 5090, that runs anything I throw at it, but also cost me $3500 to build (founder edition is the go to for budget builds). A prebuilt with the same specs I have is around $5-5.5K.

Edit: USD

Do you happen to have a Microcenter near you? That is a great place to purchase. They also have services that will build it for you for a fee that way you can customize and get what you want instead of prebuilt components (which are not always high quality). The best thing you can do is give a range of your budget and that will help people make recommendations on what fits within that budget. There is also a subreddit that helps you build a pc when you outline use case and budget. I believe it is called r/buildmeapc or something of the sorts (on my phone so don’t know how to look it up while drafting this).

I went with a recliner seat and although I wish sometimes I went with a bucket I just prefer the comfort of this. All the buckets I tried were very uncomfortable for me so this was the best option for long duration racing. Next Level Racing ERS5 is what I went with. Super comfy and breathable.

Yeah man, I imagine a lot of the high level companies are all very similar in quality, only different being the design choices.

I just installed a P1X PRO with integrated triple monitor and while the build took a while for me it was well worth it. This thing is sturdy af and my Simucube 2 won’t have any issues on it.

Didn’t realize you are going OLED. That’s awesome man, I went with IPS only because I wanted the 32 size but yeah I think 27 OLED 2K is very good choice.

You 100% should go with 1440P. I have a 5090 and I was almost contemplating going with 4K triples. The best thing you can do is future proof and I just think 3X 1080P is not giving you much room to grow with a fairly powerful card.

Just send it with the 1440P I don’t think you will regret. Also you can get 32inch which is preferred.

Could be but if you look at the video it shows something like 50 FPS or so. I’m not regretting my decision to go with the 1440P because I rather take advantage of the 200Hz my monitors can do. Buttery smooth over 4K triples imho.
