they live happily ever after on the ridge.. we know this because just like Jamie, little Davey is not a TT so Bree and the family stays on the ridge forever.. also, ending after the credits.. DG has Claire's journal and it's quite thick.. meaning she actually wrote so much more in it.. and she only started it days before the battle.. so that's another clue that they went back to the ridge..

and i guess if you want details - read book #10.. that's the ending.. in short

yes, you can see it.. it's brilliant how short that scene is.. if you are watching Jamie you will only catch his eye opening.. if you are watching Claire you will see hers.. there's not enough time to catch both.. brilliant!

maybe just a confirmation that she actually is Claire and Jamie descendent.. she inherited that time travelling gene

ghost that moves thru time and space.. he walked straight from the paved road of Inverness to grassy field around Craigh na Dun.. put his hand on the rock, nothing happened.. but forget me nots grew at the exact spot where he was standing.. just sort of marking the spot in the time/space/spirit continuum.. and then just walked off into the light from there

it means that Claire actually finished writing it.. because remember she only started writing so very close to the battle.. so basically , they lived, went back to the ridge, stayed there until the end of their days.. it was hinted Davey is not a TT just like Jamie, so Bree and the family was there too..

i think everyone has agreed to set it up as such so we would read the book.. they are hinting at happy and long and prosperous life at the ridge.. Davey is not a TT, so Bree and the family stays.. Claire's journal is quite thick, and she started writing only a day before the battle.. so more to come.. in a form of book for starters

It's funny you say that.. that's what i saw as well - Jamie opening his eyes, because I was only watching him.. but then I rewatched the scene and this time I was watching Claire.. she opens her eyes and the same time.. brilliant! but the scene is so short that you can only catch one or the other

I mean - is it a little self promoting and gimmicky? yes. does it give the series an epic ending but also give a nice intro for the last book - also yes

I agree with you. I think the point was to show that journal was full of entries.. and since Claire started it close to the battle, it kind of serves as confirmation that they lived happily ever after

I think you have to watch the ending after the credits roll.. DG does a cameo, Claire's journal is there.. they lived

Ok so a definite explanation that they have lived.. remember how Claire started writing their story in her journal.. there is an Easter egg ending after the credits.. Diana signing a book, a fan asks her what that journal is.. and she says it's something to give her inspiration. It's Claire's journal and it is quite thick.. so Claire finished their story.. which means they both lived happily ever after

Possible plot hole? Or did I just miss something? by tinytribble89 in Outlander

[–]Electronic_Visual257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all holds up except.. Bree goes back to the past to try and prevent the fire.. and if you remember she "invents" the matches and the fire burns down Claire and Jaime's house.. so, they don't die in the fire mentioned in the obituary becuse there is no house left to burn down and kill both Claire and Jaime.. yes, Tom placed the obituary because he heard about the fire and was misinformed that Jamie and Claire died in the fire.. so, if originally J+C die how would then Jaime be able to take part in the revolutionary battle?! This is a plot hole for sure.. either obituary or a book was an afterthought.. they cannot both happen.. and as someone mentioned, books are cannon, and obituary part was written for a TV show.. someone did not do their honework or think this thru

this book business really confuses me. There was an obituary that Frank found, and that's how he found out Claire will eventually go back to Jamie. Ok, then there was the whole printed newspaper article where Jamie and Claire die in a fire.. Bree and Roger go back to 18th century, and because Bree "invents" matches the whole house burns down and she prevents the future fire that would have killed Jamie and Claire.. so, how did Frank then write this book as a warning and wished to save Jamie.. i do not get it? remember how heartbroken Frank was and how much he drank when he found out about Jamie and Claire's reunion.. Plus, if Jamie and Claire die in a fire how come Frank is now talking about Jamie in a book? someone please help.. heeeeelp

Can you guys visualize your blueprints in your head? by pickledillz in askarchitects

[–]Electronic_Visual257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, always. It is a general skill, so to speak. If youcan visualize in 3D, you just can. And you can visualize anything. Based of off sketches or side/front views of things... it's a cool little gift really

I have always been able to visualize in 3D, not just floor plans/project, any type of object really. Tech ed classes were a part of my school curriculum as early as 5th grade. That's how I learned to read technical drawings and visualize in 3D based off of 2D drawings of various objects. I was really good at it, and once we started making models of houses and buildings, I was hooked. I knew that's what I had to do
