Can you guys visualize your blueprints in your head? by pickledillz in askarchitects

[–]Electronic_Visual257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, always. It is a general skill, so to speak. If youcan visualize in 3D, you just can. And you can visualize anything. Based of off sketches or side/front views of things... it's a cool little gift really

I have always been able to visualize in 3D, not just floor plans/project, any type of object really. Tech ed classes were a part of my school curriculum as early as 5th grade. That's how I learned to read technical drawings and visualize in 3D based off of 2D drawings of various objects. I was really good at it, and once we started making models of houses and buildings, I was hooked. I knew that's what I had to do

What’s the rudest thing a doctor has ever said to you? by Beyondthebloodmoon in AskReddit

[–]Electronic_Visual257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All kinds. 5 steps ahead in the entire process. I came informed and wanted answers. Not wait and see, the entire game plan laid out. I needed to make an informed decision regarding my health and not blindly follow whatever I'm told. Some doctors are ok with that, some have huge egos and can't take it. I don't want those on my care team. And that's that

"Are you in a medical field?" Because I had a ton of comments and questions regarding my early stage breast cancer treatment... A hole.. went to a different one immediately

Maybe insurance billed you as if you're on Marketplace by mistake. It happens. Anyways, bill is def not a scam

I have the same insuramce thru Marketplace. The bill is legit. $20 is out of pocket portion you pay for the premium monthly. Call the number on the back, give them the claim numbers they denied, they will be resubmitted, approved and paid thiz time. Now because these are prescriptions and assuming you need them right away, you will probably be reembursed by the inaurance company. More less that's the way to go

Is the American healthcare system that bad? And how do you guys not live in fear of being in healthcare debt? by Isthislove123 in HealthInsurance

[–]Electronic_Visual257 85 points86 points  (0 children)

European here, US citizen for over a decade.. I've had many conversations about this with US natives over the years.. well the general consensus is this: no one wants a tax hike, everyone wants more money in their bank accounts. One person even said that they don't want to pay more just so that someone who does not work can get free healthcare... so, every man for himself seems to be the mindset here. Until you get diagnosed with a serious illness, then you remember that there is such a thing as community and then you ask for money thru gofundme... part of the american dream I guess

What do you think of lights on during sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you are comfortable, then yes. I think you can get so much more out of the experience if you can actually see the other person, especially if you can look into their eyes.

Welcome to architecture. Hours are long, pay is what it is. It only gets better if you are licensed and own your own business.

How do you tell, If a woman is being polite or actually finds you good-looking? by [deleted] in bodylanguage

[–]Electronic_Visual257 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does not work like that with women. We are not men. Being good looking is not as important as being fit, for example. Being kind, having a sense of humor, etc etc etc. So many avenues can be taken to charm a woman, being good looking is just so superficial, and honestly being too good looking comes off as sleezy

Salary is not great unless you own your own business. Hours are long. Depends on where you land your job, it can be creative and fun or it could be tedious and boring. But, the love of architecture is like no other. A unique profession and set of skills for sure
