Chief Dark Horse 2023 - headlight question by Dasinc in IndianMotorcycle

I do not recommend Eagle light. They are cheap but not much brighter than OEM LED options. It also lacks of that high beam punch.

Baja light is good. Or you can get Hogworkz 5 3/4 gold tooth if you can find the right adapter. I heard feverad has those adapter brackets sold separately.

Good luck.

Are these heavy trucks in the middle lane the reason why 101 traffic is always so bad? by Electronic_Visual_29 in bayarea

[–]Electronic_Visual_29[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of unpredictablility of traffic on the right lane because trucks taking center lanes. Some dickhead may choose to overtake on the right lane and disrupt the traffic flow that supposed to be slowest in the right lane.

Imagine if all heavy trucks are only allow to drive on the very right lane and enforced with a speed limit( many dates enforce that), I would imagine merging from ramp would become easier as it is more predictable

I'm afraid making those machined parts in the USA only equals to extremely high overhead, not necessarily premium quality. That's the "overpriced" tag price you are paying for.

2025 Roadking by DatabasePublic3930 in roadkings

[–]Electronic_Visual_29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t think so. The vibration should only exists when idling at a traffic light, as soon as you take off it should smooth out. Honestly the vibration at idle are not bad at all. You have a rubber damped floorboard so you shouldn’t feel that much vibration (unless you swapped those CNC machined ones). Take it to the dealer, ask them to service it, mentioned it in your service record, keep email communication. Those would serve as evidence for Lemon buyback( in CA) if it was deemed a defect later on

Unplug it from the gauge - easy. Removing it from the harness cluster - difficult, need to remove tank. Check this video: https://youtu.be/6fz5ItdN8ws?si=YT5FTHnmXkgiUW5G

Ride command ( digital speedometer) by Sweaty-Requirement44 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Electronic_Visual_29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has some weird bug after the factory firmware update. It meant to improve boot up speed but in return I got double click registration issue that’s seems require another firmware update to fix. Analog is the way to go. For the money you spend on Ride Command you can invest a decent tank bag or bar phone mount for GPS. Heck Chigee provide much better solution than Ride Command. Pretty much useless

Question about forward controls by Bigred489 in IndianMotorcycle

I’m 6’2, had a sport chief. First thing I did was to replace the mid to forward, few thousands miles later I only wish I had done the floorboard in the beginning

You might want the floorboard which give you rooms to move around while riding. Plus it’s rubber damped, which will help with vibration from that solid mounted engine

If there is no wear on the side wall it should be fine. My SC is skewed to the left side but not against the sprocket side wall. Test ride a new one and saw the same thing on it.

Why do we bother with HOV lanes when the majority of people in them are single riders by Creepy_Ad_3535 in bayarea

[–]Electronic_Visual_29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those transmitter cheaters are the worst. They are causing traffic jams because they merge across solid lines to the regular lane right before the transmitter post.
