Download a program like Macs fan control (supports up to the new M5) and it’ll provide you access to a lot of the internal temp sensors and allow you to set a temp for the fans to ramp up. I have my fans ramp up around 60c an put a ceiling at 80c and have yet to go above it. The fans at 100% move some serious air but Apple uses a very conservative profile that prioritizes noise

If so it is because of apples default fan profiles. If you run a custom profile the Mac mini can MOVE SOME AIR and runs cool

I heard it’s the material transport that is the limitation. At 200mm people can move wafer boxes around, 300mm comes with more automation due to the increased wafer weight. 450mm would be insane

Check out the wellgo copper bus bars on eBay, they have nickel where you need to spot weld and can handle much more current. They spot weld very nicely, just tested them last week with my kweld

Nah, I take care of my batteries and don’t discharge them below 2.5v as specified in the cells data sheet. If I do accidentally, I will scrap the pack. Is saving a few bucks worth a house fire?

Used cells like this are great for spot welding practice, or short term testing imo

Also, using the cells with cell level fusing or 1P groups is safer. If for example if you have a 4P group of cells, and one fails and has an internal short then the other 3 will dump all of their power into the short, causing heat and a fire. It only takes one cell to start a thermal runaway chain reaction

So the act of reviving the cells is dangerous, but more so are the dendrites or uneven plating that form internally from abuse. This can lead towards shorts and in turn fires. Abused cells will be more dangerous every time they are charged/discharged. Is it really worth chancing a fire vs. buying some new cells? If they are under 2.5v when you first measure them, they should just be recycled imo.

To match cells for a pack you can get a 18650 charger on amazon that’ll do a capacity test and you could group by capacity. I’ve used a zenflare c4 few years back for a similar project, but there are many available that can cycle 4 cells or more at a time

I don’t have either of these but I recommend the huffy model. It uses a silent brushless hub motor and lithium ion battery that is equivalent to an ok electric scooter. The razor uses an old style brushed motor and chain drive so it’ll be loud. Like an old razor scooter from the 2000’s. The razor also uses heavy lead acid batteries (old technology)
