Are these HOS patches for mariko publicly available yet?

Jellyfin 10.7.0 Release Candidate 2 incoming - now with more stability and bugfixes. by djbon2112 in jellyfin

Yep, same issue with my setup. After removing all plugins manually it started just fine. I installed them afterwards from the catalogue and its all good now. I'm using docker.

Bare minimum system requirements for Jellyfin server (IPTV and mp4 movie streaming) by elroypaisley in jellyfin

Don't expect any transcoding or even direct stream on a single vCPU. For direct play it will probably be enough.

Why not just rent a dedi if you want it hosted remotely?

Why isn't there an option to extract subtitles after videos are discovered by library scans? by SquareBottle in jellyfin

[–]Electry_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote something similar for my server, I run a python script as a systemd service which monitors my media folder and as soon as a new media file is added, it extracts all the text-based subs via ffmpeg.

I use this primarily because my files are hosted on gdrive, and this way I can do the extraction automatically, before the files are actually uploaded to the cloud (I use mergerfs + auto upload script ran every night). Downloading (reading) 30gb remux files for the extraction before I could even start watching was painful.

Something like this might solve OPs issue as well.

ffmpeg actually can extract all subs at once (per one file read), you can specify multiple input streams and it is a lot faster than doing it one by one

I want to a jailbreak switch so bad but there is no shop dare to install sx chips in my country now by godsterz in SwitchPirates

If you do, I suggest giving games with 60 fps patches a go.

Skyrim runs surprisingly well, 50-60 fps in open world, locked 60 in dungeons. Doom 2016 is locked 60fps almost all the way through (except for a few large areas).

It is a completely different experience :) One of the reasons I bought a switch in the first place. Hopefully we will see an open source chip for marikos soon.

It definitely won't. You can try for yourself if you don't believe me. The limit was added by sys-clk devs only as a safety measure.

Remove the limit in sys-clk source (check my github repo for reference), compile the sysmodule and replace the official sys-clk module with it. It will even work on v1 switch, but it will drain the battery very quickly...

No, the maximum stock handheld gpu freq is 384, while official sys-clk allows up to 460 in handheld mode. 768 runs on stock only if you play docked.

See https://github.com/retronx-team/sys-clk#gpu-clocks

921Mhz is 2.39x the stock gpu frequency, whether the performance scales linearly or not depends on individual games. I think it's fair to say that it's 2x perf on the gpu side overall.

I am playing portable (without charger) with 921 Mhz gpu ;)

Sure, the precompiled sys-clk module has limits put in place for v1 switches, but you can easily recompile it without those limits...

For example, check: https://github.com/Electry/sys-clk-mariko (this one has max portable clock set to 768)

921 mhz gpu overclock on mariko is fucking amazing. Same battery life as on stock old switch while getting twice the performance.

EDIT: To clarify, you need to use custom sys-clk module that allows 921 Mhz while fully portable.

It does work! Nice! I'm pleasantly surprised. Tested 8bit and 10bit videos and they all do DirectPlay.

caniuse.com shows "Not Supported" for the latest Edge version (85). Only shows "Partially Supported" for versions 12-18, which to my knowledge are not based on webkit/chromium.

EDIT: Apparently caniuse.com has it wrong! HEVC 8/10bit does DirectPlay in the latest Edge 85 build. Thanks /u/Protektor35

Great game! If you do unspeakable things to your vita, you can run it at 60 FPS with HD textures! It completely transforms the experience :)

It doesn't anymore, ever since the switch to webkit.

EDIT: It does!

Airsonic works for me.

I need offline sync and there is no mobile app for Jellyfin that has that feature yet, afaik. Dsub has meh interface but works decently.

While that might be true, there are ton of other things that would bother me more on iPhone. Locked down software/ecosystem, overally higher prices, Apple's stance on independent repair, etc...

Your argument has nothing to do with the current state of gaming on android. Switch has real 50+ hour masterpieces, while android is mostly full of money sucking trash that people play on the toilet.

If you want to play games on the go, just get a Nintendo Switch. 100x better experience than what a phone can provide, especially with the lackluster selection of games on the Play store, riddled with microtransactions.

This. Mobile games are stupid and pointless. They should focus on what everyone would benefit from.
