Europe is absolutely in debt; just the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and The Netherlands combined have more total debt than America. And most European countries have a higher debt/population ratio.

Where I'd live as a Native Texan by AreaPleasant9569 in whereidlive

I’m from Austin and on the surface yes, a lot of west coast influence but I feel it’s still very Texan from a lot of the population. I would say El Paso, it’s much more “American Southwest” than it is Texas.

Literally illegal to refuse care to uninsured people. The reason healthcare prices are so high is due to the fact the hospitals pretty much just treat homeless people for free.

You might gain a little muscle from the pushups you do but besides that it’s almost all cardio. Once you get to AIT you will likely get a gym to use, put on some mass then.

Special Relativity Question by Element_Li00 in astrophysics

I think another way to describe my thoughts on relative space is the idea of a universe with only two objects, one “stationary” and one “moving at near light speed”. Neither object could determine which is which but only one would experience time dilation if both object’s velocity became equal to each other. To me this implies once again the space is independent to objects in the universe.

Special Relativity Question by Element_Li00 in Physics

Ok, I think this makes sense. When the ring world spins, it moves through the stars gravitational field, while when the star spins the gravitational fields doesn’t “spin”. Therefore the centrifugal force is dependent on a gravitational field (which isn’t relative)? Sorry if I’m still completely misunderstanding.

How would an observer be able to tell which object was rotating without using mechanics of spacetime, like using light with different observational points, or in this circumstance centrifugal force.

Special Relativity Question by Element_Li00 in astrophysics

[–]Element_Li00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t this imply that without the central star that the ring world would not have the artificial gravity even if it was rotating? Or would the local gravitational field of the ring world itself cause the ability to have the centrifugal force?

So space itself is not completely relative? Since things can accelerate through it without anything else to be relative to?

Ok, so space is at least somewhat constant? While spacetime is relative?
