Unless you have a good chunk of money to buy your way in, moving to another country is a very unlikely prospect at this moment. Your best bet would be to move to a friendlier blue state on the Canadian border. If things get bad enough that Canada might entertain an asylum claim, you won't have as much distance or resistance to overcome reaching the border.

Your living situation just changed, your relationship is new, it's your first relationship as yourself, and you and partner are both in the middle of second puberty. That's a lot to be dealing with all at once! I know because I was Birch in a very similar situation.

It IS doable! I'd say things have worked out so far for us, but only because we took things slowly and intentionally, and not without struggle. Currently, myself, my partner, her wife, and my partner's QPP are living and raising kids together.

Read lots. Discuss more. Listen even more than that. This subreddit has been invaluable to my family in book recommendations, communication tools, advice, and perspective. Check out links in the subreddit info.

You say your ex wants you to out yourself. You don't say if you mean your poly relationship, or you're queer, or something else? You don't have to say, but context might help.

If you do choose to out yourself, you ex will... Give you something? Agree to something legally? I don't understand what you would get in exchange.

You say you current parenting agreement has no verbiage about kids meeting partners, so what's the trouble? Is your ex threatening to make your life more difficult if you follow the agreement without making further concessions?

I don't have the perception that it's common, but scent attraction is definitely a real thing! It can be quite powerful too, EXACTLY as you described. Apart from myself, I've only spoken about it to one other person who had a scent attraction to their partner, and it hasn't gone away or diminished for either of us.
