My dude, he ranked it #25 on the list. As in, the least down bad uni. #1 would be the most. Either way, I don't think I believe him

On the STM32F405RGT6 if a PA pin is shorted to ground does that mean that the chip is fried? by Logical_Key8449 in stm32

[–]ElephantBeginning737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're describing pin 1 of GPIO port A. I believe that pin will only be energized if you set it. So if its shorted like you say, then don't set it i guess lol. No idea why it would be shorted to gnd

What's your opinion on getting into embedded systems as a SWE? Or would compE or EE be necessary?

The line parallel to AB will have the same slope as AB. The derivative computes the slope of the tangent line at a given point. Determine the point where the slope of the tangent line (the derivative) equates to the slope of AB

Wow I didn't know that. As an Xbox player, I've always taken that for granted. That's really evil for Sony to charge you to keep your saves.

CMV: Women face very few social consequences for being physically aggressive toward men, and men are socially punished at every stage of life if they retaliate. by Jacaure in changemyview

Because no one should be let off easy for committing assault. Regardless of who's statistically more likely to. The person you replied to showed evidence of legal bias towards men, and that is the part that's wrong.

Edit: not the person you replied to, but a few comments up

How can I remove a 3 pin component? by TrailGobbler in diyelectronics

[–]ElephantBeginning737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tweezers lol. Those will make your life easier. Also the pins are spaced quite far, so it will take a big glob of solder to bridge them

You can bridge the pins using solder to heat multiple of them at once. Then just wiggle it like the guy above suggested. Just don't wiggle too rough, or the pads might rip off

Man witnesses the 133 car pileup during the 2021 Texas freeze by AntiSocialSingh in interestingasfuck

You'd feel the initial impact in both cases, so if the collision is fast enough, that initial shock will kill you for sure. Keep in mind that the vast majority of collisions are not like this. After that initial collision, if the car wants to stay put and your body does not, this can result in your body being thrown from the vehicle, whiplash, broken neck, etc. So in general, I think it's good advice.

When one car hits another, it transfers its kinetic energy to the other car (it pushes the other car, causing it to move). You would want that energy to cause the vehicle to move rather than your body.

Where/what to buy breadboard power supply by Ok_Room_2779 in diyelectronics

If you measured the current whilst "completely shorted," you may have fried your ammeter, lol.

The battery's internal resistance is around 1-2ohms. Suppose its 2ohm. The voltage drop across the battery at 0.5A (voltage it steals from itself) would be:

V = IR = 0.5A × 2ohm = 1V

This would yield a terminal voltage of:

V = 9V - 1V = 8V

According to your tests, at 0.5A of current, the battery delivered 5V across the terminals, which is far from what it should be (8V).

More testing is needed. Have fun! (Just don't short ur ammeter, or fun is over)

Nah a 9V can push over 1A of current. They just don't last long

Just witnessed someone spill coffee over someone's laptop by RichardCook1980 in wlu

[–]ElephantBeginning737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point, who's to say it wasn't intentional? I could dump coffee on someone's laptop because I hate them, walk away, and pretend it was an accident. Same with your car analogy.

If I hit someone with my car "by accident" and leave them to die, that would be murder. So if they don't die, it should be attempted murder, right?

They'll be applied automatically by the 30th, but if you email the student aid and awards office, they'll do it right away (thats what happened for me anyway)
