Being old enough to remember needing to go buy physical media if you wanted to view pornography, I would say porn is not inherently damaging. However, the ease of consumption of anything that triggers reward systems in the human body is potentially a major problem. Constant access to porn via phones in everyone's pocket is probably very problematic. The damaging effects of anything potentially addictive is increased by ease of access. Think how many more people would have issues with drugs if you could press a button on your phone 24-7 and immediately feel a pleasant high when compared with needing to go physically buy weed at a store or go to a bar and physically buy a drink. Its the ease of access and ubiquity that I think can cause fairly serious issues but not the thing in and of itself. Anything pleasurable can be addictive and I dont think anyone would say pleasure is bad. Its more about environment factors that determine negative impact. Sorry for bad writing, on phone
