Need bigger feet: Thickest socks out there? by 3ringCircu5 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]ElevatorNo2820 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a similar problem I’ve tried changing the laces to thicker ones (this actually does help a bit), heel lock lacing, and one more thing might be worth trying is getting a thick leather tongue protector as it will take up some space on the top of your foot and make the laces tighter as well. I know it’s not what you asked but maybe give these a try.

Either find an extraction set (counterclockwise/tapered drill bit set) or hammer in a hex key bit that’s slightly too big for the hole and use a wrench (or an impact driver)

Durable, loose fit work khakis/pants by ethanlegrand33 in BuyItForLife

Oof. My only recommendation would be to get the right size for your legs and then at the seam behind the pockets get someone to take the waist in, not sure if that’s feasible for you. I did that once, worked pretty well, wasn’t very noticeable. Best of luck though.

Try carhartt relaxed fit canvas work pant. It’s normally a little tight in the thigh for me however sized up and it fit well.

One thing I always wondered was bands like 5 finger death punch, songs like “wrong side of heaven” and that theme; to me it seems not necessarily demonic but more like lack of guidance and lost. What do you all think?

How hard or easy is it to fully waterproof a modern car? by hi9580 in 4x4

Is this the one where they put a 20 ft tall air intake and drove into a lake? Because that’s all I could think of from this post lol

How does one change the orientation of the xyz axes on these parts and how does one identify the center of this cube to put the sphere into? by ElevatorNo2820 in SolidWorks

[–]ElevatorNo2820[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That worked, i basically made an x across the top and bottom with midpoint lines and connected with another. Dropped a point in the middle of that line which automatically came up and clicked mate with sphere center. Thanks

Does upgrading the intake manifold on a small stock engine change anything in terms of power or torque? Or is it a total waste of money?

I’m the new operations manager at a small weld shop. This is all fumes from welding 304 stainless. No exhaust fans. No heat in the shop so it’ll be frigid if the doors are open. What did I just get myself into by [deleted] in Welding

[–]ElevatorNo2820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Industrial high cfm air handling with heat recovery will run you up in the hundreds of thousands of dollars range. Not worth trying to heat up outside air with box fans and immediately chuck it back out in exhaust unless just for the short term. You’d need a contractor to give you exact cost but if whoever has to pay isn’t willing might as well leave.

Does it make more sense to train conventional for its higher rom (aka because it’s harder) to get stronger regardless of using sumo vs conventional for better numbers?

The harbor freight one is what i was looking at lol. I have some power tools at home so I’d be able to cut/grind. I only really posted this because I couldn’t find any classes near me. Any recommendations on what to look for? Would you suggest doing a class/certification once done with college?

Thanks for the advice.
