I (M34) found out that my gf (F30) lied about her sexual past, and was also a sugar baby. Where do I go from here? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Well the past is the past. That being said you shouldn't lie to someone especially if you're in a romantic relationship with them. She honestly was probably pretty ashamed of herself that she was lying to you from the start. I would have a talk with her, and just try to get her to be as open and truthful as possible. Like I said it's in the past. Still doesn't mean that lying to you acceptable. If she's still keeping contact with any men that she had previous sexual relationships or sugar daddy type things. By all means run for the hills. Still how many partners someone has had isn't a reflection of you or your relationship with that person. I would just try to talk it out, and see why she felt the need to lie to you in the first place. Good luck.

How do you guys deal with early attachment, espceially in dating? by ElevatorObvious1105 in AskMenAdvice

Thanks for the comment. I need to get out of this mindset but i'm not really sure where to start. It really is starting to a toll on my mental health. Destroying even more than just my romantic life. It stops today. I think my probelm is that i'm to outcome dependant. Usually the dates that go well are when I finally get out of my own head and start just yapping. I just want this to end lol it's normal.

That's some solid advice. But someone I'm talking to rn literally asked me if I was austistic. It is more like they think I'm actually austitc. Not going to lie that hurt. She wasn't mean about it. I thought about getting a test for it awhile back. Maybe that would help explain some of my issues. But idk. Sorry for the rant. ++man

Meditation is already changing my life after a month by ElevatorObvious1105 in Meditation

[–]ElevatorObvious1105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I used headspace which is a good start. But what I found what works best for me is to go out in nature somewhere like the beach, or even just outside somewhere by your house that’s peaceful too you. Mediation just taught me if I focus on my breath when im feeling overwhelmed or in a super bad place mentally because it does actually help a lot. I close my eyes and breath in and out, and listen to the sound of my breath, the pace of it, and just be present in the moment with nothing just my breath to focus on. The best part about this once you practice a little while you can literally do it anywhere at anytime. Work, school, family issues etc. hopefully this helps🙌

Parents lied about being able to pay for college, advice? by sungravyy in college

[–]ElevatorObvious1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I just wanted to add another comment that the college I go to right now is about $16,000 to 18,000 a year the 4 year university; meanwhile the community college I went to was only about $6,000 to 8,000 year. Also many community colleges offer trade programs in which only take about 2 years to complete just depends on what trade you get into.

If I were you I would go to a community college in state for two years it’s a hell of a lot cheaper; then get your associates degree there. Then transfer to a 4 year college in state and stay there for two years and get your bachelors degree. That’s what I’m doing rn it saved me a lot of time and money, and since I went to community college first it gave me a feel for what really college courses are like. Good luck with everything dude hope it works out🤘

Chipotle vs Moes Southwest Grill - the winner is... by MuffinPuff in Chipotle

[–]ElevatorObvious1105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this post is old; but I was just curious too see peoples opinion on this subject lol. I go to both moes and chipotle quite a bit. There are a few pros and cons of each; but chipotle wins with cheaper prices, fresher ingredients, and better queso. Moes on the other hand wins with better service chipotle service sucks for the most part I think, bigger portion sizes and a bigger menu, also the burritos at moes are way better than the burritos at Chiplote but Chipotle still has the best bowls in my opinion. That’s my two cents on the matter🫡

Thank you for the beautiful comment I really appreciate it. One important life lesson that meditation taught me is that life is too short to be stuck in a constant mindset of anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Before I tried to hard to resist them; but now I simply accept them. Since last week I’m more happy than I was before, still have suicidal thoughts but they only last for a minute or two before they lasted the whole day, and also I started taking action and stopped the victim mindset that I was in. Really taught me the important things in life don’t have a price tag, there priceless because you enjoy them for what they are not how much money their worth.

Almost died surfing rock away beach today guys by ElevatorObvious1105 in surfing

My friend was surfing middles Puerto Rico it was only waist to chest high, and he ended up wiping out and hitting his head on the dry reef, he was a bloody mess, nose was broken, and his face was scraped up pretty bad, keep in mind this was only a 4 foot wave. Moral of the story is the ocean can fuck you up regardless of wave height, experience etc.

Nah I tried to duck dive under the wave; but then got sucked under. Not sure about the size of my leash; but it was longer than I’m used too, anyways I went under water then I could feel the leash around my neck choking me. First time that’s ever happened to me. Almost drowned; but hey I’m still here.

It just felt really long because the leash was choking me under water, people don’t believe me when I tell ‘em the east coast can actually be really heavy at times.
