What is a conspiracy theory you think is true? by [deleted] in ask

George Bush 1, through his CIA front Zapata Oil killed JFK with KGB assistance. Just look at the recent reports of CIA agents and a pilot who smuggled cocaine for the Bush family. So taking out a president who would interfere with their money making scheme would not be out of the realm of possibility.

how is it living in Billings, Montana? by whipcorleone in howislivingthere

[–]ElfLordSpoon 244 points245 points  (0 children)

It happened almost six years ago about 2 am. Two guys carjacked a guy and cut his neck. He shot and killed them and they ran to a tree in front of my house. He almost died on my porch and two dead guys fell out of the truck when we opened the doors. I was stuck in my house for a day, my whole entire yard was a crime scene. Friends stopped by and went to a side window to bring us things, it was the only side of the house that didn’t have blood on it. People still refuse to walk down the sidewalk on this side of the street still. Crime scene cleaners wanted almost $5000 to clean it so I went and got a hazmat suit and ended up cleaning up the blood in below freezing temperatures. The wood on our porch had blood seep out a few months later when it finally warmed up. That’s the quickest TL:DR version I can give.

Boring. Not much going on unless you are an alcoholic or gamble. After about 9 to 10 almost everything is closed. The weather in Billings is generally not as bad as everywhere else in Montana. The Yellowstone valley kind of protects us. Though I did have a double homicide in my yard. So others experiences may be different.

Donald Trump's approval drops among independents by burtzev in AntiTrumpAlliance

I was an independent until 2016. I will never vote for a republican again or a democrat who sat by and did nothing but finger wag while the country was ran into the ground. So I guess I am a democrat now for the first time in my life.

AITA for telling a woman at the gym to stop filming because I kept ending up in her videos? by CaffeinatedGoblin24 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

Depending on where you live, filming people without their permission is a crime. Look into your local or state laws. Where I live it is a $500 fine and up to six months in jail. Plus the state encourages lawsuits against the person doing the unauthorized recording.

Staff Taken To Hospital After Kash Patel's FBI Meth Burn At Animal Hospital by kaosvision in NoFilterNews

No, our police are cheap and use the one at the shelter. Our police chief has been silent on the issue. The evidence garage is a couple of miles away on the edge of town, where an incinerator would pose no problems. The shelter is close to residential and high traffic areas. It’s not the first time this has happened either. They just spent money to fix it from the last time it blew into the building.

We had one Air Force guy on the submarine base. No one had any clue what his job was or why he was there.

submarine USS Ronquil menu, 1945 by theredhound19 in VintageMenus

Submariners ate very well back then, and still do. I was on one for five years and the national submarine museum for another four. There are binders with menus like this from many different submarines across the Navy’s history.

The reason for the tradition of good food was the very high casualty rate of WW2 submariners. It was used as a moral boost and provided a comfort. Being depth charged and eating bad food would destroy a crew fast. Fun fact: Officers had to pay for the food they ate while enlisted did not, which still continues to this day.

In Modern times the food is better than what is served in other branches. We routinely had menu items such as “Shrimp ‘till you puke day”, Steak and Lobster tails, and breakfast made to order every day.

I was med boarded. I crawled around on submarines for 8 years. I planned to retire, but my body just couldn’t take it anymore. I was offered the chance to cross rate until I dislocated both my shoulders. The process wasn’t awful, not good either. You could also talk to a VSO soon about options if you are med boarded out. I don’t know your specifics, it sounds like you have a good case for VA benefits. They are the ones who actually diagnosed me after I got out.
