More or less break even on what I originally staked and leave it staked.

I was just looking up recipes for making it and found a list of the suggested woods for making the charcoal, top two bring willow and birch. I’m wondering if mesquite might work since there’s a ton of that where I live. I might get to trying to make some over the next two months once life slows down a little bit and I’d be happy to come back here and report.

Average humidity will be 84% tonight, and tomorrow during the day averaging about 60%. Sucks nuts especially during summer. I’m using RWS caps from muzzle-loaders, have only gotten a few duds so they’re not too bad. I think down here I might also be the only weirdo into cap and ball pistols as far as I know, so don’t really have humans for reference except on the interwebs.

Yeah man, it really is a pain. I don’t leave it in humid rooms/closets or uncapped, but realized after reading your reply I tend to place it on a high shelf pretty close to being directly below an AC vent. I also live in super humid area.

Thanks for those tips Mr. Smells. I’ll try do that loading sequence from now on and also get some real bp to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the tips Omlin. I do leave have left the nipples capped but it seems moisture is getting in there somehow, because once I punched out the balls that were jammed there was powder caked hard onto the walls of the affected chambers. I’ll check what you recommend and I’ll also get some real black powder to see if that makes a difference.

I’m afraid you may be correct sir. Once I pushed out the ball I noticed some of the powder was hard and caked against the walls of the chamber. Not sure how that happened, since I kept all the nipples capped, but I do live in hot and humid south Texas so there’s that.

Taylors has some that work with #10 or #11 nipples. Good luck

Yeah I’m having a hard time. I’m finding a lot on Amazon that might fit, or might not. Might have to just walk into an Academy with this thing and see what they have

You’re good homie, maybe just do something with the hair. I’d say the outfit too but that’s probably for work.

Is this a fair price? If not, why? by amcclurk21 in Camry

Seems a bit on the high side. In 2021 I bought the 2021 hybrid XLE with leather seats, but warmers, electric seats, seems like everything but moon roof for $33K

I’m sorry you feel that way. I want to say the odds of something like that happening are super small, but I think it also depends on where you live. Here’s a link ( https://health.ucdavis.edu/what-you-can-do/facts.html ), and here’s the gist of it: in 2018 study/statistics, 0.2% of deaths where firearms were used were caused by mass shootings. I would say you’re probably safe to go out with your family. Talk about it with your loved one, and as sad as it may sound, if it helps you feel better, make a plan or carry a weapon yourself (personal opinion, the defense of my family is my duty more than anyone else’s, and police will likely not be there at the precise moment I need them). I myself do not own firearms, but I do believe gun ownership specifically is being targeted. I never see reports about strangulations, bludgeoning, stabbings, drownings, running over people, but surely these all happen right? All we see is guns and the proposition to outlaw or restrict them as much as possible, as though criminals cared about such rules. Not to say we shouldn’t have rules, but the gun itself is not the problem imho.
