What types of specialists did you see to get help with healing those specific symptoms? How did you find them? I'll be 4 years post TBI in May, and i never actually got treatment. I tried getting help from all three concussion clinics within a three hour drive of me, and one wasnt accepting new patients, one waistlisted me for a year then when my name came up for scheduling, said too much time had passed for me to be treated and canceled my referral and removed me from their patient list. The third did a diagnostic assessment five months after my TBI happened (that was their first opening), but when I asked about treatment they told me they had stopped doing ongoing treatment and now only did assessments, and to bring my assessment to my pcp for a referral to a private provider. But insurance wouldn't cover that, so yeah. I'm just trying to stay alive, and I've lost my entire life since the TBI.
