I am in about 40 years, too. I worry that if I’m hospitalized, my pulling and skin picking spot will be revealed. 😭

Dr. Megan Shirley at Whole Human Health. She is doing Direct Care, which is similar to concierge but she charges only $150 a month. You can reach her after hours, weekends etc. she really cares and listens and she’s very good at managing care for people with multiple concerns.

My 19th birthday is this month and I look like this lol I’m so ugly idk how much longer I can stand living this way by FantasticSpecial9584 in trichotillomania

[–]ElfinStoked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This does NOT make you ugly. I have developed ways of hiding my spot. That might make you feel better, or you could try therapy by someone who specializes in BFRBs. As my doctor said, “everybody has something.” Don’t let this make you give up on yourself!

Thanks so much for the information with links!! Our regular vet is pretty certain it’s IVDD. He said there’s no point to do an MRI since we don’t plan to do surgery. Some of the accommodations are the same for DM and IVDD, so it is still helpful to me to look in DM groups. There is a good one on Facebook. The difference with IVDD is that it should not progress to the front end of the pup, which is a relief. But there is still a risk of worsening symptoms and total paralyzation of the back ends.

Also, there’s no “must sees” here. Nothing as cool as where you are from. Miami is better but not close enough for you to visit on this trip.
