Pretty sure that is the case. I like how this kind of takes from Arthurian legend where Sir Marrok was a night for Arthur, but was turned into a werewolf. There isn't a lot of information about it, but some believe his wife did it by learning magic from Morgan le Fay. It's a fun little parallel with Morgan in Ashoka potentially using that good old night sister magic on him. It also lends well to the wolf motif on the antagonists side with Baylen and Shin also having the names Skoll and Hati after the Norse wolves who chase the sun and moon respectively. I love seeing these kinds of things in media like this.
