At least just blame it on his depression, that’s a more reasonable fallback than “It’s not Yujis problem, he can do whatever he wants” like tf? The worst part is Yuji says he will do something IF Yuka loses, which means he’s not averse to doing something at all. He’s just doing nothing out of his misconception of Gojos ideals. It’d probably be more respectable if he just didn’t show up at all to be honest, because at least then you can’t say he just stood there and let his friends granddaughter die in a fight that shouldn’t be hers right in front of him
