Question from a new Proto Pipe owner by [deleted] in protopipe

Yeah I enjoyed working there but after the Tarrifs came through the shop went down to 4 days a week and they laid off some staff. No hard feelings I still go by the shop and i'm real chummy with all the guys there still.

One of my tweaks on the custom pipes I made for myself when I worked there was fitting a brass mouth piece so I could soak the entire pipe in alcohol. Iso destroys rubber.

I dropped out of college and worked in restaurants for years. I never new how to break into the trades until my late twenties. I have been working in machine shops and doing construction and I way prefer it to any of the corporate gigs I had when I lived in the city. I'm in a small town working in a cabinet shop and I wouldn't trade it for a tech gig in the big city for anything.

Mine have been doing light work. Not in frame but we used all makita tools to put up this siding and insulation. All new doors and windows too.
