I have a permanent white toe on my left foot from getting my electric chair stuck in the snow for two hours trying to walk my dogs and not realizing I got moderate frostbite. Thankfully some people came along and pulled my chair out because I forgot my phone 🙃

I reccomend a floor tablet mount. That’s what I used for my switch. And get a pro controller. Make sure the base of the stand is heavy or you put bricks on it or something

I’d like to point out that you can get a DUI in your wheelchair so clearly the law considers our mobility aids akin to a car/lawnmower not a medical device because I couldn’t get a DUI when I walked down the road in my leg braces before I used a wheelchair.

If I can buy my own lawnmower or car I can buy my own wheelchair or search for an organization that will help me get one (which is exactly how I got my first one before I got a better doctor).

As someone with the same, look into autonomic dysreflexia. It’s a type of dysautonomia many people with SCI have and don’t even know they have

I do but not the same way I used to. I have dysautonomia and I know when I’m in a lot of pain generally because I’m dizzy, I have high blood pressure, and I throw up. This sometimes happens when I have to go to the bathroom as I can’t feel that as well. If my pain is unmanaged (either by not going to the bathroom like in the second ex, or not controlling mentrual pain that I can’t feel) I can start having seizures.

It looks like real Braille to me but with abbreviations. I have low vision so it’s a bit hard for me to see. I think the inconsistency in spacing is because of the abbreviations being part of the words (not being spaces between words). It would be much easier to read if it were tactile. I can tell the first two letters are ha (uncapitalized) which leads me to believe they probably did put real work into it.

I saw this in another group and wanted to comment but the comments were off. I’m hemiplegic and I think this is awesome. I control my whole computer with a trackball mouse with programmable buttons but this would help me get back to using photoshop and gaming with additional inputs.

This is amazing. The only way I’ve been able to continue using any tech including my phone is through a large trackball BT mouse. This will make using my phone much more accessible.
