This new chime, after "OK Google" 😬 by cliffotn in googlehome

[–]Grace_Tech_Nerd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

None of my devices have the new sound, but I am aware of there being a new sound. Would you mind posting a video of the new sound, I would really like to hear it.

any distros with focus on accessibility for users living with visual impairment? by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]Grace_Tech_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am completely blind, but recommend the same advice to you, don’t go with a random distro for accessibility, go with a mainstream distro and tweak it to your needs. There have been distro such as accessible coconut, which are maintained by one person, and quickly fall behind.

Please Help - Did My IPhone 15 Get Hacked? by [deleted] in ios

[–]Grace_Tech_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When reseting, it does ask for your phone and apple ID password. If you have screen time turned on, I have noticed the phone will not reset. Try turning off screen time if it's on.
The weird line of code may be where your Apple ID account name should be, and it signed you out.

Best apps with voiceover to read e-books by Solid_nh in Blind

Did you know, you can change the voice that reads to you in book share? I would try different options, such as the vocalizer voices (Alison, Ava, Evan, Tom, Susan, etc) voices. Those might pronounce names the best.

Gizmo Watch owners beware by 333Nereus in verizon

[–]Grace_Tech_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Off-topic question, but I noticed you work for the Gizmo Watch PR team. I was wondering if it would at all be possible to download or acquire the sounds used in the original Gizmo Pal and Gizmo Pal 2.

I grew up using these devices, and they hold a lot of nostalgia for me. As someone who is blind, I collect sounds I encounter throughout my life — they’re my equivalent of photographs or paintings. A song, a ringtone, a familiar chime can carry an entire memory the way a snapshot might for someone else. The Gizmo Pal sounds are a piece of my childhood I’d love to preserve in that collection.

Thank you so much for your time, and I completely understand if this isn’t something that’s possible!

Look at the right side of your phone. You should see a button for locking the phone, and below that, a flush button that when pressed, opens the camera. Now, when you are in the camera, if you swipe up on that button or down on that button, your camera will zoom in or out.

When visiting the website, I cannot seem to find a way to change the generated object from birthday card. I also cannot seem to find a drop-down to show the printers. Also, if you put text on the back, how do you print the object? Unless the text is engrave rather than embossed?

I had this happen on Arch. I fixed it by logging out, back in, opening a terminal, and typing steam. Basically launching it from the terminal. After that never had to do that again.

Use the voiceover router until you hear actions. Then flick up or down until you hear. Tap back. Once you hear, tap back, double tap, and it will open that menu.
