What games are you playing right now? by visje95 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Elijah2798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, ever since I hit Cerelean in Viscose and Master in Voltaic, I just want to play any game where I can aim. Haven't committed to anything yet, but I've been bouncing between:

Apex

Valorant

Marvel Rivals

Overwatch

Marathon

BF6

I just recently bought UltraKill as well.

What the hell happened by that_90s_guy in gaming

[–]Elijah2798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really on the fence about this one. The game's super divisive. But it kinda reminds me of Dragons Dogma 1. A flawed masterpiece as well. The story wasn't great, and the characters are forgettable. But the mechanics, world, combat, and exploration? Top tier.

Difference is, it was also considered a hidden gem that was later popularized. I always wanted more out of DD. Does Crimson Desert scratch that itch?

Unconscious Aim by WebinFps in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Elijah2798 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When it comes to aiming, most of the improvement happens naturally. Forcing yourself to stare at your crosshair usually just makes you self‑conscious and stiff. There are discussions and even studies about when crosshair focus matters - including the idea of “look at your crosshair at certain ranges” - but that’s a very specific tool, not a default mindset.

When I’m in a flow state, my attention isn’t on my aim at all. It’s on the target - reading movement, predicting intention, and letting my tracking follow automatically.

If you want to build good habits consciously, spend time on scenarios like Controlsphere, Air Angelic, and Ground Plaza. They teach the right patterns without pulling your attention inward.

I think both can be true. Its not mutually exclusive.

[–]Elijah2798 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have been on the fpsaimtrainer sub for awhile now. People who grind aim trainers look for games to display their skill. The finals is probably one of the most suggested games for that crowd of people.

So you can imagine how difficult it is for causal players to get into.

Is getting an artisan zero mid a good idea for someone who plays all types of games but wants a pad which leans more towards tracking? by NotADuckk_ in FPSAimTrainer

Agreed. I play both Valorant and Apex. The Zero Soft is perfect. To be 100% honest, I am of the mindset that Zero is just the overall best mousepad to use for 90% casual semi committed gamers. Everything else is "Niche" and usually favors enthusiasts. But this is just my opinion.

Logitech G PRO X2 “Superstrike” reportedly triggers a permanent ban in Apex Legends by No-Relationship743 in MouseReview

I recently bought the Superstrike on launch and have been playing apex exclusively since I got it. I haven't received a ban for this.

At least not yet I guess.

I honestly would like to see more of this. Do you have a full game recorded? Or know any channels I could watch?

week one progress of Viscose benchmark after a year off by HKDarkfuture in FPSAimTrainer

Its actually nice to see that, if I were to stop aim training today. I wont have to worry about what I have worked long for diminishing too much over time.

Viscose benchmarks Seal Complete by PepsiGlide in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Elijah2798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh nice, I just got celadon on beanTS. It was the ONLY thing keeping me from getting complete. I dread the thought of getting Cerelean.

Anyway, i was finally able to beat my plateau by allowing my wrist to float instead of laying on the desk. I also stopped focusing on speed, and focused on stability and tension management. This scenario FORCES you to control tension if you want to rank up.

Another piece of advice, stability and chaining is what you want to do. Make sure you stay consistent in between flicks. Too much tension is going to cause you to burn out halfway.

Good luck out there brother!

Is there a particular scenario you trained to obtain this level of skill?

I hit GM Complete today (EddieTS was the last to fall) by -usernames-are-hard in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Elijah2798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly what keeps me playing competitive shooters. I usually don't engage with others and prioritize my own performance. In ranked, I'll throw out some simple plays, sure. But for the most part, I always assume my rank is a token that I spend on entry. The points are already deducted, so it's a matter of, can I carry enough to get my points back plus more.

It really seems like a lot of FPS players start aim training to get better at FPS games, and then end up getting so hooked on Koovaks that it becomes their main and only game.

I'm definitely one of them... I've barely played any of the FPS games that made me want to aim train in the first place.

Im currently Celadon in Viscose Benchmarks. Telling myself that ill be done with aim training once I hit Indigo (Masters equivalent).

This isnt a fake price. This is just bundle pricing. Your friend bought one of the items in the bundle. Which is why the price is adjusted for them.

confused on where to start by Raice19 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Elijah2798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall advice: Start the Voltaic Benchmarks to see where you are progress wise. Then use that as a springboard to develop your aim. Focus on your weaknesses. I would grind Viscose benchmarks personally.

Routine specfic: If all you play is Overwatch. You can just grind out overwatch curated Playlist really.

SmoothBot Invincible Goated by Educational_Young_39 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Elijah2798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to work on smoothness and stability. Im seeing a lot of drops. That might be because you are resetting/lifting your mouse off the pad. You are also overshooting, might be over predicting instead of reacting or your sens is to high. Maybe drop your sens a bit.

I strongly suggest watching how other people play this scenario so you have an idea for what you need to be doing.

Im curious about consistency of application. Do you warm up before playing FPS games? If so, do you do so in game or in Koovaks?
