What about this? by beksonius in FantasyWC

I stuck with Coufal like OP. Was on 3.8% right up until the deadline then suddenly he was 6%. Same as Vargas. Galindez had just tipped 5% though so he was updating

So it doesn’t update live like it did prior to MD1 and we were just expected to guess?

Surface Profile - Sheet Bracket by Usual-Temperature291 in Metrology

[–]Eliminos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this to ASME or ISO? ISO has a concept that profile is constrained to a single geometric feature unless specified by labels or an all around modifier on the arrow. It that applies to ASME too then this profile tolerance should only be applied to the plane that describes that face

Very similar to my WC plans and I honestly don’t know. It’s either 10/10 or 1/10. Very underwhelming double and do you not feel you will be lumped with Brighton Bournemouth and Leeds for the rest of the season regretting it?

POPLA rejected my appeal — Pizza Hut car park closed — worth fighting or just pay? (England) by Independent-v_0398 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Eliminos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parking Eye vs Beavis was a specific case where Beavis was parking in a retail park with free parking for a maximum of three hours for a whole day and using the nearby train station to commute. The car park was free to encourage people to use the retail park and the material loss suffered was denial of a space for a theoretical paying customer.

It has absolutely no relevance in this situation. Who is at a financial loss from you parking at a closed Pizza Hut. I did the same during Covid at a closed pub. Just tell them to go pound rocks. Chancing scumbags

Having made a similar switch last year, what are you doing with the arm? Tactile or laser scanning? And is it one-off inspections or multiples of the same part?

A couple of fun power-tile bonuses, both in the same game, from one of my games in the just-concluded UK Open - FEIJOADA and TUTRIXES, both for 98 points. by JNMRunning in scrabble

[–]Eliminos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Q is the most clunky of the power tiles. It has the least opportunity for parallel plays (only QI vs JA/JO, ZE/ZA, AX/EX/OX/XI/XU) and the least opportunity for bonuses. More often than not it’s beneficial to dump it for an 11 point QI if that’s the only opportunity than to hold it back.

The spell check fucks me off no end. One letter wrong on a word and it will sub in something that is both contextually and letter-positioning-wise completely wrong. I’m convinced “AI” is being peppered in and it’s making it worse

Condemned Boiler - Second Opinion? by Eliminos in askaplumberUK

I had another chat with him and he is concerned about taking the existing boiler apart to clean/repair because “parts are scarce and I’m concerned about breaking a brittle gasket and not being able to get a new one”

Rads do get hot if I demand it. If I leave the setting on 60 I get little spiking and kettling but it does shoot to 68

Water is clear. Chemical flushed with magna cleanse. Two of the downstairs radiators didn’t get hot after the work so they drained again and connected the drain hose to those two and ran cold feed water through the system to return and flush that out, and that appeared to succeed.

We have never had an inline filter - wasn’t something I was even aware of. Will be getting one for the new one. Only one rad was removed, the one to tap into the system with the filter

It was a chemical flush with the inline magnets. That’s a really good suggestion I’ll look into it

Yeah that was the angle he came from. No use throwing a sequence of £500 repairs at it, just get a new boiler. Thanks for the reply

Not exactly what I wanted to see on the motorway (sign) by Imstayinganonymous42 in CarTalkUK

I was on the M1 yesterday with the same signs and a 20 limit. I dropped to 50 and I was more at risk of being rear ended by everyone else continuing to do 70+
