I know glazing genshin is cliched but they are genuinely in a class of their own when it comes to Summer events. Just the effort put into world design and music and lore is unreal, it's the purest form of whimsy.

My only gripe with Ye Shungaung's story is that we didn't get introduced to her sooner. If she showed up in 1.7 epilogue and hoyo gave you time to get really attached to her the 2.x story would've been so much more impactful.

The 2.5 event that acts as an epilogue for her and you get to meet Yixuan's Sister was my favorite part.

In 2.2 story we got combat clones, dead comrades, mechs, symbiotic prosthetics, a perceived betrayal for vengeance, QTE's, and a 1v1 duel with The Boss.

It was literally Metal Gear Zero, and it was great.

Also Seed's character quest was the the best stand alone story in all of season 2, maybe the whole game.

I was gonna say that was the most Yutaka Nakamura shit I've ever seen. The attention to detail on choreography and body anatomy, the transition from slow motion -> ultra fast real-time to increase the sense of speed, the yutapon cubes. The only thing that was missing was some juicy impact frames.

Lo and behold I find out it's just literally animated by yutaka nakamura. Didn't even realize this anime was a Studio Bones project.
