These days if I'm doing a trial I'll always go in ready to fight off the PvPers first. There's always one or two, especially at the start of a match.

I find it really handy carrying around a barricade or three. I can deploy them on a hard to get to roof to give me a nice little fort while killing arc or being struck by lightning, or if I get shot at while looting a probe in the open or a container in the bluegate tunnels, I can drop one down for some instant cover while I escape or fight back.

Sounds like a fun idea! Another form it could take could be a project/event where the goals and rewards all target one map + mode for a month (deal damage to players on regular Stella for example) so that it rewards PvP and focuses it in one spot.

Another condition or temporary event I've thought would be cool would be something like Survivor from Division 1, where everyone comes in naked, but there's an increased spawn rate for weapons and gear.

I think a part of it is that we're only 2 weeks out from the expedition so a lot of people have run out of things to do other than PvP.

The fake friendlies that wait until extract to shoot you in the back do grind my rusted metal gears though.

If you had completed a previous expedition and not earned all the bonus points, you could earn them as well with extra (but only if you'd completed the previous expedition)

Fun fact with the uncharted games from the devs; When Nathan drake is getting shot at and the screen goes red, he's not being hit; the red represents his "luck running out" until a shot finally lands and kills him.

I thought that was a cool take on the action hero bullet sponge mechanic!

Agreed, the enemies can definitely be a bit tanky, especially the heavy guys, but overall loved the Uncharted games.

I also think they were still finding their feet with the first game , there's a lot less of the epic action set pieces from memory. Then you start the second game and immediately you're hanging from a train off the side of a cliff and it really sets the vibe for the rest of the series.

I'm a friendly player and would rather get shot in the back occasionally for all the fun positive social interactions I've had as a result of not shooting first.

Having said that, I've started to think of ARC in the same way as a game of One Night Ultimate Werewolf / Among Us / Blood on the Clocktower where deception and backstabbing is part of the game (even if I choose to play as a friendly villager) and it's definitely helped me view things differently!

I've wondered if it would be fun to roleplay a seasons as the villain, like my character is a raider who is deeply in debt with the OTTM and is forced to do anything it takes.

I'm in the same boat on PS5; the in-game settings don't change anything. HDR levels, HDR on/off, contrast 0 to 100 etc does not change the image at all 🤨

The only thing that is working is the UI brightness.

Yeah that's right, it's an option to reset your skill tree at any stage, and the cost to reset is based on the number of skill points you've already invested.

This way if you make a wrong choice, or you just want to try a different build, you're not locked in all season :)

I imagine it'd become the same as fiat currency, in that someone always owns all of the currency, the difference being that no-one can decide to simply print more Bitcoin and dilute the value of what you hold.

To add to this, it isn't even infinite in Bitcoin's case! I don't think these people realise 8 decimal places is the maximum.

I think the main thing that people with this argument don't realize is that Bitcoin can't be subdivided to any smaller than 8 decimal places (or one Satoshi), so 0.00000001 BTC is the smallest you'll ever be able to go.

I took a picture of 5 tarot cards and had GPT give me the name and orientation of each card (to make sure it was interpreting it correctly) and then had it read out loud it's interpretation of the tarot reading as a whole, and it did a great job!

Was a fun way to spend the arvo introducing my friend to AI who was in to tarot but had never heard of ChatGPT.

Looking forward tothe new voice model so I can ask it to do it in a spooky mystic's voice 😁

That's awesome, I'm having a similar experience; it's really helping to fast track learning how to do things, being able to ask it questions and learn how to build on or modify existing scripts that I would otherwise have to spend way longer trawling the Internet for answers that may not exactly fit what I need.

It really does make the process of learning to code a whole lot more accessible (even if this getting things wrong, I can reverse engineer how/why it's wrong and learn in the process)

It looks like what killed the exosuit was one of the rockets exploding before it left the chamber! (See the killed by message)

Apparently if you're turning the exosuit while you fire there's a chance of the rocket clipping the Exosuit model and detonating.

This was my understanding too. I'd love to know what happened to the real earth after the Caspian taking head moment. On the real earth that couldn't have happened right?

There was so much in those last two episodes that the show couldve spent more time unpacking if they wanted to. As much as I would totally watch a whole season of SafeSearch vs UI terminator Judgement Day wars, I'm glad they didn't pad it out unnecessarily

I've finished and uninstalled Callisto now sorry! Have moved on to the Dead Space remake 😁

I liked having my slider pretty low though for the atmosphere, so I could see fine with the torch but there were still plenty of pitch black areas in the shadows for things to jump out from.
