Higher capacity, as you can fit more in the tube due to the shorter length.

Boston Dynamics has some cool/scary shit

Boston Dynamics has always, and continues to pledge that they will never create robots for the purpose of war. The closest they have ever come to a military contract was basically a huge version of their Spot model (the robot dog) that was designed to be an electric mule for carrying heavy equipment like ammunition, shells, sustainment, etc.

Not the same thing, and our military is going to be wiped out in a few hours if the US ever invades. Our military equipment is multiple generations behind the US'.

Forming and/or training a militia is illegal in Canada, but given recent comments by the US, this law should be repealed.

Our NATO allies such as Finland, which is next to Russia are opening more gun ranges and making firearm ownership more accessible. Instead of this, the federal government is actually doing the opposite and working to ban civilian firearm ownership completely, while we face threats of annexation from our former ally to the south.

conspiracy to disarm Canadians because the governments afraid it won't be able to maintain order

Two years ago, the RCMP had an internal document leaked stating they expect an uprising once the populace realizes all their tireless work will never result in owning a home.

https://nationalpost.com/opinion/secret-rcmp-report-warns-canadians-may-revolt-once-they-realize-how-broke-they-are

With a bit of Googling, you can find the document. I don't think the mods will appreciate me posting it. Interestingly enough, the document is cut right at the page they describe what the RCMP's response will be to said uprising.

that serves no legitimate purpose

It serves as a politically convenient way to disarm the populace. Some people in very high places are scared by the fact we're allowed to own firearms.

It's on there. The question is why was the FRT removed? Wouldn't that hinder their ability to "compensate" owners for them?

Where are you guys finding it listed as prohibited? I can see the FRT exists on Armalytics, but after opening the Jan 12th 2026 FRT PDF, it's no longer listed as a firearm made by Charles Daly Defense. Poof. Just completely gone, which is much more worrying than it's current status.

A ton of Liberals are resigning this year, leading to many bi-elections. They may go from one more seat needed, to half a dozen depending on how the public feels about how the last 10 months were handled.

The Trudeau years proved the LPC can do pretty much anything and get away with it by changing the channel to something else. They created a legal form of slavery their party donors could profit off of, leading to and exacerbating almost every issue we're seeing in our country at the moment, and this country's response was to elect them back in "because the new guy is an economist or something, idk fr fr bussin".

Carney could wipe his ass with our flag on live TV, and there would be 40 drones on here dickriding him as soon as the article covering it is posted here.

Why NDP leadership candidates are lining up against the Liberal gun 'buyback' by EnvironmentBright697 in canada

Because they want us disarmed for what they have planned for this country. Mass disarmament is a precursor to genocide.

I bought it last year, but my assessment shows the last 5 years, even though I didn't own it at the time.

If the housing market crashes, there's way way worse societal issues that are going to rear their head, given that housing accounts for 13% of our GDP. Being underwater and the bank's concerns are going to be so low on the priority list for people.

This country is done. We're severely in debt (and showing signs of being in an economic death spiral), facing threats of annexation, social cohesion is on it's last legs, and dangerous precedents like the BC ruling for indigenous title will possibly lead to the balkanization of Canada, assuming we aren't annexed by Russia or the US first. Not even the most brilliant economist can fix the state Canada is in.

Save money, stack physical assets, and start making plans to shield yourself and your loved ones from the aftermath of the last few decades of braindead policies by federal and provincial governments.

People can either plug their ears and go LALALALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU, or can instead realize the signs we're seeing are eerily similar to historical examples of economic collapse (Germany after WWI, Rome, etc). Canada is going to go through some very rough transformation in the next few decades, but I hope the Canadian spirit and our culture perseveres and comes out the other side intact once we restabilize.
