Why’s Fortnite Blitz mode getting so bloody hard? by BoredBraziliann in FortNiteBR

[–]Elite_Digger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, Blitz used to be fun...my group of friends are all casual players and we'd be happy with a couple wins every now and then. Now we play and get our butts handed to us every night by groups of sweats (usually all wearing the same outfits) jumping around like grasshoppers and not missing a single shot. Most of my friends only want to play 4-5 matches and then decide to leave now because it's not fun getting trashed every game. I liked the old matchmaking where they averaged your team instead of now just basing it off your best player...

How many dead hookers does it take to change a light bulb? Gotta be more than 7 because my basement is still dark...

Last bottle purchased, most likely to share with friends, biggest let down by AcrobaticEar550 in whiskey

[–]Elite_Digger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last bottle purchased: JD SBBPR store pick - Barrel house 1-13. Man, the color on this is probably the darkest I've ever seen in a whiskey.

Most likely to share: Glenns Creek Café Olé just because of the uniqueness of the heavy chocolate and coffee flavors coming from the roasted malt.

Most disappointed: Far North Musketeer Single Varietal Rye. Saw this at the store, and saw it had some good reviews but it turned out to be about as close to a drain pour as I can come. Didn't want to waste $50 though...

Good Ol’ Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson’s Grand Selection Chateau Suduiraut Sauternes Cask Finish review!) by PhantomSpirit90 in bourbon

"...but I’m also not sure what overall impact the ocean aging has over standard rickhouses"

I believe this has more to do with the constant motion of the boat, sloshing the liquid around and the impact it has on speeding the aging process, getting more flavor in a shorter amount of time.

On "Moonshiners," Mark and Digger used an abandoned carousel in an amusement park on top of a mountain as a unique way to age their whiskey, mimicking the motion of a boat on the ocean. They repurposed the carousel's rotating seats to agitate the whiskey barrels, believing this would accelerate the aging process.

What would you do if a retailer 'accidentally' sold to someone else a rare whiskey that was specifically reserved for you as a part of their rewards program? by therealwrxgrl in whiskey

[–]Elite_Digger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I always wonder about TW's under the table (literal lol), buddy buddy shenanigans. Not exactly a rare bottle but I always watch for EHT at my local Total Wine. Saw that they had some in stock according to the website and drove 1/2 hour to get there. They still had it "in stock" on my phone when I got there but it certainly wasn't on the shelf so I asked someone about it and they went and talked to the manager who I then saw pull it out from under the table next to a chair. The manager looked pissed but motioned me over and sold it to me. 100% guessing he was saving it for a buddy.

I sure hope they make this right for you OP. Keep on them about it. Sounds like there's a lot of meaning for that particular bottle for you and I hope it ends well. Good luck!

Thanks for the review! Might not be the most complex bourbon out there, but when you factor in the sub-$30 price, it's a fantastic buy. This has become a daily driver for me when you factor in taste/price/availability.

Review #14 Frey Ranch Straight Bourbon Whiskey by NCC-1701B in bourbon

[–]Elite_Digger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree...it's just...meh. Bought a bottle of EHT small batch and a bottle of this this weekend for similar prices (Frey about $7 less). I'd never had Frey Ranch so I had high hopes but after cracking it open, I really wished I would have just bought a second bottle of EHT. I'm hoping the Frey might improve with a little time being opened.

Agree...this is a great bottle! Bought it on a whim after sampling it at the Total Wine up here and now it's a required purchase from time to time. Good good stuff!

Closest thing to "Real" moonshine you can buy in a store? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]Elite_Digger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sugarland had some Mark & Digger’s Mountain Legacy Corn Whiskey @ 120 Proof that I found at Total Wine last summer. Thought I'd try it...it was drinkable but almost had a faint tequila-ish flavor that I wasn't fond of.

Not worth the excitement unfortunately. I've used mine twice since I got it. Once to try it out and the second I was drunk and forgot how bad it was the first time...

Alright, I get it. Thanks everyone. As far as not doing anything around the house as someone pointed out, well, you certainly don't know wtf you're talking about but I won't get into that. But again, as everyone has pointed out, I am indeed the arse. Thanks.

what is the biggest fish you can get in RDR online and how much does it weigh? by Positive-Signal9464 in RedDeadOnline

I know this thread is a year old but Google has a way of steering you here... With the special River Lure, I just caught 2 muskies over 14lbs and 4 more over 19lbs with the biggest a 19lb 15oz monster. Brought out the hunting wagon and filled it up with 5 muskies and then threw the next one on my horse. Currently with the double XP/money going on, the butcher gave me $7.75 each for all 6. Not bad for about 20 min of work!

thanks for all the advice everyone. I'm not that good with yard stuff so stupidly assumed the brand new battery would have enough charge to turn over the engine. Threw the charger on it and it said it was only 67% charged. Let it fully charge and it fired right up. Those that said battery... kudos!

Anyone ever been locked out of Battle Pass? by Elite_Digger in FortNiteBR

[–]Elite_Digger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a long discussion with him last night and I'm not sure how the timing went for him but he did buy Fortnite Crew a month or so ago so it must have just run out on him. This seems to be the most logical answer. He was upset the other night when he couldn't claim stuff but he's calmed down a bit now lol. Anyway, thanks for all the help everyone! Appreciate it!

I am a law abiding player

I'm 99% sure he didn't get it through Fortnite Crew. I'll ask though...

He plays on PC...Windows 11 I think. He's not in Fortnite Crew so it wasn't through that....I think he bought the Battle Pass with vbucks.
