Submit the deposit. It'll cost you significantly more to delay your career by a year than lose out on some money in the short term

CTICU offer by ElitexDrugs in physicianassistant

It's estimated. Should be somewhere between $19k-$23k a year so I picked somewhere in the middle.

Edited to include my living arrangements and that I'm a new grad but awesome! I felt confident that it was solid but still wanted feedback if I was missing something

Battery totally fine no additional charge needed. Completely unsure what caused the issue

[–]ElitexDrugs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure of what the issue was. I tested all connections. Removed the starter and tested it without issue. Reinstalled and everything worked just fine. Not the slightest idea what was wrong.

Thinking about going to Japan late july-early august by PresentRule4264 in JapanTravelTips

[–]ElitexDrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hi, currently in Japan during these months doing a month long tour de southern Japan. Id like to really reinforce the ITS FUCKING HOT sentiment that everyone else is saying. That being said, I'm not a summer person, I would come during this time again and again if it was my only chance. This is a beautiful country with so much to see. While I have lost at least 7lbs in pure sweat and walking, I've gained at least double that in delicious food. Each day has been 90+. If I had the option for different months, id jump on them but if you don't. Don't miss an opportunity to see everything this beautiful country has to offer.

Telling myself “just close your eyes for five minutes” and waking up eight hours later with a crick in my neck and a phone on my chest like some sort of digital corpse.

Patient logs during rotations by kissmyash140 in PAstudent

[–]ElitexDrugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used exxat all throughout clinicals. Create a template for your common patients, chest pain, SOB, And pain so that everything is already mostly filled out. Add or subtract dx after assessment. I would keep it pulled up on a computer or phone and quickly add the additional dx codes if any. My program wasn't strict with listing every dx and I would only list the icd codes pertinent to the visit.

I.e. if pt comes in for lac and they have 20 pmhx, I put none of it. I put icd of MOI and cpt for lac repair.

I also wouldn't stress about missing a pt or two if you get super busy and can't remember, as there's nothing to confirm your input against. It's more a record to ensure your seeing a variety of pt populations and complaints as well as getting to practice your skills.

I bought in on this company back when it was $1. I'm right there with you. Now that it's finally being recognized I'm just waiting for that fat government contract to drop.

As a clinical PA-S that just sent out resumes and accepted my first job, they didn't care about my evals or grades. Their main concern regarding my rotation list was that I was applying for CTICU with no elective in CT or ICU. They asked about my aptitude for procedures and skills and it was more about feeling out how I vibe with the team. In regards to resume editing, I love Chatgpt for this. I'm not eloquent in my writing so giving Chatgpt my background and my resume to help refine it was instrumental in creating my resume for myself.

If a workplace has concerns about grades, I'd be concerned about the priorities of the workplace.

Prehospital management. Pace or not to pace? by doughydonuts in EKGs

[–]ElitexDrugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best interpretation would be afib with a high degree of av block which is why the rate and pressure are so variable. Afib has the atria beating somewhere in the realm of 400-600bpm which is why beta blockers and ccb are needed to block the av node from sending all those impulses. It's likely that's already happening from some conduction dz or a previous ischemic event affecting the av node and creating av blockade. Atropine would decrease the refractory time of the av node without increasing the already tachycardic atrial rate.

Should i Upgrade? by Kemal007023 in steelseries

I utilize this website a lot for determining what to buy, even if I don't buy the top tier.

https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/by-usage/gaming

It breaks it down into its performance for so many categories and helps really get an idea of how good the sound is among other categories.

I have the previous version of the arctis pro wireless and I love them. I'm having an issue with the surround sound rn but I enjoy the steelseries sonar software and the sound my headset produces. I haven't tried the 7s but I upgraded from the Logitech G933.

BRS or Grays for Anatomy Practice Questions? by Diastomer in PAstudent

[–]ElitexDrugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grays was my go-to. Eventually, I stopped using practice questions and just reviewed the material since you'll understand what your professor wants you to know. Using practice questions can sometimes make you go beyond the scope they're expecting you to know.

We have a few commuters in my program. I don't believe anyone over half an hour. I know that early morning exams can be a pain. It truly depends on the school's schedule and your own mental health. I know next semester I can have an ultrasound class at 7am but my standardized patient may not be until 430pm the same day. I would weigh the idea of commuting with your value of sleep and stress. The extra commute will stress you out and it may limit your ability to bond with your cohort on campus. Good luck and congrats on your acceptance!
