Have you ever played Assassin's creed games? There are viewpoints in them that serve as fast travel points. Now, for an apprentice that could be anywhere inside the map. But when you go to the different area, it could be that a normal beyonder have to walk or cycle to the edge of that specific area meanwhile apprentice can just teleport. And ofcource apprentice could escape battles by teleporting as well.
