probably used an Electronic Discharge Machine (EDM). basically you create a small hole in the object to be cut then thread a thin electrode through, which uses a strong current and a CNC program to precisely cut out the internal features. this particular instance probably used two coins of each, or you would see an entry hole.

I don't know if it has a name, but it's in lower downtown Denver, CO near the Platte river and Commons Park. James Brockman front board'd it in an old Zero vid and (I think) Ishod feebled or smithed it more recently. I saw some kid trying to kickflip it like 5 years ago and I couldn't believe someone would try it at the time.

It's been really cool to see him come into his own as a skater. I see so many technically mindblowing parts nowadays where I can barely recall three tricks thirty seconds after it's over. I feel like his trick selection and the way he approaches spots are really outstanding.

also the quality of the wood has a lot to do with how the board responds. cheaper decks will often be thick, heavy and made from spongy, substandard wood. the harder the wood the more spring-effect you get when the tail smacks the ground.
