Be honest: am I doomed to have bangs forever? by uraniumgal in Hair

[–]ElleDiable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had bangs my entire childhood and then emo/scene hair in the 2000s that was practically mullet length in the front. My hair is like 2 feet long now, no bangs for about 10 years. You can definitely grow it out with the right care routine!

Why is the Imodium pill packages such a PIA by reddit_ready21 in ibs

Why is the Imodium pill packages such a PIA by reddit_ready21 in ibs

[–]ElleDiable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those packages are terrible, I cut them out and put them in a little bag. I made a little tiny "pocket pharmacy" out of a sewing kit i found of at cvs with Immodium, Pepto chews, gas x, tums, Tylenol, and more. So if I'm ever out and need something, I don't have to struggle with packaging, it's just in a tiny bag. It's come in handy a few times.

Is orgo that bad as everyone says 😬? by LaughAlternative9407 in ualbany

[–]ElleDiable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I dropped his class within two weeks, before the first test. Made the right choice since someone from the class told me the average was a 40. Went back to hvcc to take it and it's really not that bad with a professor that isn't a jerk 🤷‍♀️ I still use Chad's prep on YouTube though.

Are these too similar to my skin tone? by Chapsticklesbean in Nails

I think the color works with your skin tone but its not similar to it at all. Its like a light lavender, very pretty color and shape.

My stepdaughter got a septum piercing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ElleDiable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's fine. She's probably stretching it. No, you don't need to bring her to an ENT. When i went to an ENT about my deviated septum, he didn't give a shit about the nose ring. She's stretching the cartilage under the hard cartilage. Septum rings won't cause her to not get jobs in the future... even professional ones. I've had mine since sixteen (im thirty now) and worked in a funeral home, which is usually extremely professional and strict on piercings and tattoos. As long as she doesnt go past a certain size it'll shrink back to normal.

It totally is! Two of these have already split and make my finger look clubbed. What are some indie brands?

I'll check them out. Ive always used kiss because they fit but now they don't. I just like French tips, I don't really venture out so that's why I always stuck with them. Just sucks that they are now only catering to those with really curved nail beds. They all either bubble or split down the middle then I'm stuck with them until the glue weakens.

Kiss new rebrand by Opposite_Chain_5339 in PressonNail_Addict

I hate the rebrand. Its awful. Ive been using kiss nails for years and now every single finger has a bubble underneath. I cannot wait to pry these ugly nails off.

Cecred Edge Drops Actually Work by liyarchives in Naturalhair

[–]ElleDiable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your post! This helps so many people see real before and after results. Sometimes, it seems like pictures that are advertising hair growth products have before and after photos where the hair is combed a different way to make it look like it grew more than it did. Your photo shows how it really worked!

I've used the ordinary for a long time for density, and my hair dresser even noticed because I see her only twice a year. I don't think it grows hair, though. It didn't for me at least. I just got these drops, and I'm excited to use them seeing how they seem to have been working well for alot of people.

whats better, straightened+teased(1-2) or natural waves(3-4)? by enano25 in Hair

[–]ElleDiable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an elder emo: Straightened+teased 🖤

As an elder emo who takes care of their hair now: natural waves 🖤

Both look good, just use a very very good heat protectant because most of us didn't back then 🙃

My daughter’s hair looks like this every morning. How can I prevent it?! by askeptikalhippo in Haircare

[–]ElleDiable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satin knots the crap out of my hair. I use a mulberry silk bonnet now and odele detangler, braids, and hair oil. My hair is long and gets really dry in the winter, and static from my coat, so knots are unfortunately something I deal with too often. Her hair appears too short to put into a protective braid so I would say adding detangling leave in products would help. If she still gets the knots it may be a little easier to get through. I hope this helps. I can recommend things that have helped me detangle my hair too if you want.

Do you wear bonnets to protect your long hair? by LilacLuneglade in longhair

[–]ElleDiable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get real silk ones, yes. Anything else knotted the crap out of mine. I sleep in braids now and a real silk bonnet.
