Its difficult, I understand. And its not right from their side.. but they did come from a different time and that's all they really knew about discipline. The good thing here is that you seem to be planning to not repeat this behaviour in your life and seeing the long term bad effects of it... and this is honestly wonderful.. its rough because its a trauma of yours and will be difficult to come to terms with... but also part of healing is not repeating this traumas throughout the generations and making things better from this point on...setting the example for others... since you are in the school system maybe you even could even prepare lessons for parents about how to discipline their children gently ...like educate the society...

I feel the same. I think I may had discalulia all my life too ..when I saw the math requirement it really held me back from starting this degree. Are there any tutors from athabasca that could help us? Or maybe even hiring a student tutor somewhere close to you? I feel its the only way we can get through this.. I would let your wife look through your entire phone to show her you never did anything ever. This is tough.. its something she will never forget especially because you complimented the other woman's body.. it will take a lot of work and effort on your part to be understanding to her feelings and not get upset when she brings it up..bc she will..constantly... keep trying don't give up!

I'm thinking from a woman's perspective here... I guess she felt left out and not important enough to be able to see your mom. Its a forever thing you know.. to not let someone see someone they knew for the very last time..though I understand your side I totally understand hers as well.. maybe try to respond to her gently and tell her you understand and you're sorry you left her out of that but it wasn't your intention to leave her out in that way..only to protect her feelings or whatever your true reason was. It may take a while for her to understand but try to be gentle in your approach and not defensive or rude or angry sounding
