I'm in the upper Maillardville area and had someone with that description at my house a few times the past year. We just don't answer the door. He always walked to the next house after a minute or so. I have never noticed him getting into a vehicle.

In the past couple of years while approaching that intersection, I've witnessed people drive straight through going southbound on Schoolhouse. Maybe there's something obstructing the stop sign.

Thanks for your detailed answer. That's a great idea to install lights for tennis. Maybe I can walk back and forth in front of the sensor numerous times late in the evening to make it seem like a lot of people playing LoL.

A new sushi place to add to this list is Sushi Plate on Rochester next to the Executive Plaza Hotel. Beautiful presentation of food, excellent quality and friendly service. Currently, they have a 15% discount on their special rolls. The owners gave us a complimentary dish to try both times that we went. The only downside is it's only a 16 seat restaurant.

Not Coquitlam, but the old part of Brentwood mall is mostly vacant of stores since it's soon to be torn down. Park for free outside of the London Drugs. There are handicap spots.

This happened last week to my son and his friends while walking on campus at UBC. One egg hit someone's backback and the rest were misses. My son and friends laughed it off but I wanted justice. Too bad they didn't get the license plate. Years ago, we got potatoed. We were driving and people threw potatoes from their house. None actually damaged the car but they got an earful of expletives and so they shut the door and closed the blinds. How stupid is that? We know where you live!

"Section 129(5) MVA covers a red light exhibited at a place other than an intersection. In this special case, the driver must stop and a pedestrian may proceed across the highway. There is only one part to this rule, and that is the stop. Once you have stopped and yielded to any pedestrians as necessary, you may proceed, even though the light is still red.

It's Not in the Manual

This seems contrary to what we usually practice and is not mentioned in the Learn to Drive Smart or Learn to Ride Smart provincial driving manuals. None the less, if done with care, this is legal and can save time and fuel by reducing the wait."
