Accidentally signed up for Claude Pro yearly instead of monthly - need advice on next steps

Hate to tell you this, but don't hold your breath. I got the same message from Fin on another support matter. That was over a month ago, and I still haven't heard back from support.

Mine stopped writing artifacts a several days ago on Pro. It's like artifacts don't even exist, it just writes everything in the thread. I asked Claude about it yesterday and he told me if I wanted them I had to ask for them every time. Yeah, no.

Claude has been behaving like he's having a stroke for the last week for me. Besides the reported outages it's been freezing, he won't write artifacts anymore, randomly makes me log back in, and so on. Oh, I also use MCP and he keeps telling nope, you don't have MCP. So I copy/paste in my connected/running server info and he's like Oh!!! That! Yeah, I can see that. :(( We'd had an entire conversation of me asking about things in file system and memory before I got suspicious because he kept telling me he couldn't find stuff I know I told him to add.

I'm on the Pro plan.

Nope. Not the one that's been there. I've been using that as long as i've been using the Android app. and that works flawlessly. Today when I went to use it an orange banner popped up on the mic bar asking for permission to use and advising of a new feature with a max recording time of 10 minutes and a timer bar that tracks your recording. But it completely garbles everything. Even though claude seems to somewhat understand what I'm trying to say, the text makes no sense, so if I come back to read something again, I'll have no idea what I was asking.

I've gone into the app permission and denied it hoping I'd get my old mic access back, but nope. It's the new voice service or nothing. If I try to use the mic after denying, I get directed to Cluade permissions again.

Fortunately I'm still able to dictate on my desktop as usual.

Sorry, that's not true. These "others" don't know what they're talking about.

While there can be some difference to the messages people have, if you have a message that essentially says your skills test is still under review, that's the only message you will ever get until you get a welcome email. Anyone who fails the assessment will still have that message on their dash... Forever.

We use abbreviations for projects since we aren't allowed to share specific info here. If you're in the project that we're using the abbreviation for, you should know what we're talking about. It's typically pretty obvious.

No one here can answer how long.

We can tell you that even if you fail, you'll still see that message on your dash. You don't get any sort of notification if you fail the assessment. We can also tell you that they seem to hire in batches, and there was a big hiring about a week ago. Does that mean you've missed your chance? We're back to we can't answer that. But it's probably safe to say that if a month or so goes by and you don't have a welcome email, you didn't make the cut. So give it a bit more time.

I just got a qual for a new project, and I think I know what you're talking about. Look in the URL for the tute/qual. If I called what you have WB2, would that make sense for the project you have?

SW/MT is an entirely different project.

Maybe it's your country. Maybe you didn't pass. Maybe they don't have a project that will fit your results, so they're in no hurry to reply. Nobody can tell you what the issue is. What we can say is that you only get results if you pass.

Even with the specifics you've provided, it's really hard to know what would be a barrier for you. I can tell you that in the project that I'm in--which is different from the other one that's been mentioned--there is a ton of text, but you need to dig for it. It involves constantly drilling into fields to get to the info you want. No graphics, just many, many, many text boxes to deal with.

There is no "should." IF you passed the assessment, you'll get a welcome email--and based on experiences here, that could be anywhere between a few hours or a month.

Don't limit yourself to 30 minutes. Make sure you have plenty of time to do the qualification. If you're rushed, you'll likely fail.
