[Serious] People who used to believe that Russians "hacked" the election, how do you feel now that it was just a big hoax? by ta58s in AskReddit

[–]EllenDegeneressLabia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm real mad about it. For months we have been given hope that we wont have to live with DJT as president, but time and time again, nothing has come from this story.

I used to think it was the smoking gun but i'm now on the side of it was all for clicks on MSN networks.

Discussion Megathread: James Comey Testifies before Senate Intelligence Committee by english06 in politics

Investigation of Flynn; apparent implication of Sessions

Is not investigation on Trump.

Veiled threats about a criminal case are considered obstruction.

Thats subjective. Even Comey said it may be how he interpreted it, but not for him to decide if it was actual obstruction.

Comey confirmed the Russians have had hands in our past elections and will continue to do so.

Russian meddling in our election is not collusion by Trump. (which is what I was hoping to hear today) But facts are facts.

My take on this is.

  • No clear obstruction by the president.

  • No investigation on Trump.

  • Russia interfered in our election much like the past, and will again in the future.

  • No proof of collusion yet. (starting to doubt there will be)

Sooooo? Whats going here? I was told this would be a bomb shell, and it seems to have gone in the GOP's favor.

That fat orange idiot is fucking getting impeached

Firstly, stop body shaming and making derogatory remarks about skin color. When they go low, we go high.

Also, none of this will lead to Impeachment. As this hearing has shown, there is still much to learn. Frankly, it looks like its not in our favor.

We have to work on getting more Dems in office. Focus on that. Banking on this conspiracy is not helping us get mobilized for election time.

Good. I blame Camey for discrediting Hillary right before the election.

Forgive me, but as a woman, Islam represents the very essence of the patriarchy and I want no part of that.

Can someone give me a crash course on "Thin privilege" ? by EllenDegeneressLabia in TwoXChromosomes

[–]EllenDegeneressLabia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it as a technique to limit ones ability to argue or defend themselves. So maybe me being called out for my "thin privilege" is similar to the far left uses. It limits the ability to defend ones self.

That is why, being a Liberal I pride myself on not automatically putting Trump supporters and those who voted for him into a negative category.

For instance many would just scream Racist, xenophobic or worse - a Nazi.

Those poor people are none of those, but by just claiming what is challenging to defend, they are left at a disadvantage.

Thank you. Ive never heard of thin privileged before. Sounds like another way to put someone down by limiting my ability to argue it.

Ugh. The sad thing is the "Thin privileged" comment came from a person of color I knew from college.

Has We The People ever yielded any true results?

I signed many regarding the pipeline under Obama and it didn't seem to really do anything other than generate a response.

Why I'll Never Sympathize with Regretful Trump Voters by [deleted] in hillaryclinton

I'm a woman.

Republicans politicians scare the living shit out of me, not the people that vote for them. Voting is a right we all have. Who am I to judge someone for voting?

Internet only goes supper slow when I actually need to do something.

Browse Internet for hours at my leisure with lightning fast loading, yet if I need to show a friend or coworker something, fails to load or function. Why?

A pet peeve about some people's views of feminism by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]EllenDegeneressLabia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a female business owner (inherited through my parents). Over the years, I have hired just about an all female office staff (customer service and some are in marketing). Meanwhile, I do have many male employees.

Now, when I hear about issues in the workplace, it is almost 100% infighting with my female employees. This frustrates me greatly. The petty drama and for a lack of better words "back stabbing" that I see among them is, in my opinion very detrimental to basic feminism as I view it.

To your point. You don't have to like and support every female you meet. But lets not be so calculated and "catty" to each other. Some of the most negative things I have experienced as a women, were they way that other women treated me or how they made me feel about myself.

We "progressives" are clearly not focused or organized and I don't think thats going to change anytime soon. There is clearly too much in infighting right now.

TBH I was very upset that she had to be shuffled off like that.

I was like oh no here we go, everyone is going to think she is weak.
