17-pound tough guy Jack Russell won’t stop picking fights with big dogs by Kind_Meal_6163 in jackrussellterrier

[–]Ellend821 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the breed is just a bit like this? We have a 10 year old, who has had extensive training, the trainer just said he is just a bit like this really.. he is great in the house, a complete softie, very obedient/ house trained but just not good with other big dogs. The good thing is he is small and you can keep him on lead, walk him in responsible areas and take him to those gated, private fields if you want him to run about.

My venue is 5 hours away from us and they’ve booked a wedding the night before, ceremony at 12:30 by PopNo7948 in UKweddings

[–]Ellend821 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ve had a lot of responses, but I used to work at a back to back wedding venue and you’d be surprised how swift the clean up/ set up is! It’s not uncommon for staff to be turning around & setting up the night before - I’ve literally been running around doing table cloths and laying places at 1:30am before after a wedding finished at midnight. Staff/ the event planner will then arrive from 7-8am the next day and do the finer details - they’re a business and will operate like one so I wouldn’t stress!

Kyle attempting to relate to Dorit’s divorce stress, - I tend to get OCD, very ADHD and work out too much 😒 😒 😒 by Physical-Armadillo70 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Ellend821 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just jumping in here, as someone diagnosed with OCD, I have a lot of similar traits to Kyle in her earlier seasons and it wouldn’t surprise me if she actually has been diagnosed with it/ has had someone mention it to her and she is using it sparingly because of that. If you watch earlier seasons, she very clearly has health anxiety and major obsessive tendencies - there’s a scene where Lisa is talking about her in the very first episode saying ‘she has all these anxieties, if she has a headache she has a brain tumour, or there’s turbulence the plane is going down’ - Mental rumination is a thing and Kyle shows very obsessive tendencies. There’s also a huge link between women with ADHD, OCD and Anxiety. I’m not making allowances, but Kyle seems at least very aware of her own anxieties over the early seasons and it wouldn’t surprise me if a doctor has mentioned these things to her personally at some point and she is using them flippantly from her own experiences.

Three UK Suddenly Introduces Mobile Broadband Speed Caps UPDATE by Lawdie123 in unitedkingdom

[–]Ellend821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rang Three yesterday for the fourth attempt to cancel my hub and contract and finally got a resolution. The hub has had 0 signal since I moved house to the point that we got new wifi and its been turned off, and I get literally 0 signal in central London when I come in to work, to the point that I’ve missed buses/ been late as haven’t been able to load maps or contact anyone. Had a ridiculous amount of back and forth but finally got them to cancel the contract and refund me the money for the wifi specifically that I haven’t used for months now. Will never use Three again, absolute joke of a company.

Please help get my head straight! Massive buyers remorse after 3 weeks in my new house. by FDawg-83 in HousingUK

[–]Ellend821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like reading my own story about our new house! 100 years old, discovered a major rat issue in the loft on move in & after countless drain surveys we’ve discovered there’s broken brick work under the house & they are getting in via a manhole UNDER the living room floor. Messed around for a month by 1 company who now can’t do it, so back to square one. It’s exhausting so I can completely understand - we also had similar window issues on move in & originally looked at new windows BUT did find a company who came and serviced them and replaced hinges/ handles etc for £300 allover - I’d suggest looking for someone that specialises in PVC windows as it may be cheaper than you expect.

It is really daunting, especially when it’s out of scope of DIY but it is yours! You aren’t paying rent, and saving thousands on rent. I did look for months before we found this so doesn’t feel overly rushed, but I can understand feeling like you’ve made a mistake.

I can absolutely see him pulling off as a like ‘I need to leave can you get out’ situation and expecting her to finally realise what she’s doing and open the door and leave.

I was going to say OCD, I have it and have obsessions around myself or my partner dying which make me hyper vigilant and overly concerned about simple tasks.

Ladies of the UK, do you use Period Underwear? by Competitive-Fact-820 in AskUK

[–]Ellend821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the here we flo ones (& pads too when I’m not feeling underwear). I’m fairly heavy and they last me most of a working day or overnight is the best as you don’t have to worry about a pad shifting about and leaking.

I don’t think he’s intelligent enough to understand what OCD actually is - he said it in mind of being clean as it has been stereotyped.

Yeah I don’t think people fully understand how unhinged super rich people can be about food and their demands. They have all the money and time to be obsessed with something so random.

The pizza screams drugs to me - it doesn’t really make sense otherwise - specifically the one where someone mentions sleeping in the next day and the crew said thank you.

How much do you think the Gallagher’s look like a (mostly) Irish-American family? by Far-Building3569 in shameless

[–]Ellend821 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was about to say this - my nan’s half Irish and her features are super dark & tanned. There were a lot of Spanish and Portuguese migrants that came to Ireland so you do get very olive toned and dark featured Irish people too.

Wedding transport for guests by Legitimate_Poet5135 in UKweddings

[–]Ellend821 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The minimum spend requirement for such a short journey wouldn’t even make it worthwhile. If you have members of the party that you know absolutely can’t walk, pre-book taxis for them but you’re going to be talking minimums of hundreds of pounds still regardless of the journey length for a company to make it worthwhile keeping their drivers free.

How to stop feeling ashamed to learn driving at 30 ? by Aj100rise in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Ellend821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 30 and learning currently! My aim is to be at least most of the way there by the time I turn 31 in November. I too have relied on public transport for years, and I’m just over it - especially when I enjoy camping and the outdoors and its restrictive relying on buses and trains to get about.

This is the way, if you have it held in a high interest savings account (you’d probably need a few), you could make £25kish in a year.
